On most glass items, if they are taped, use your blow dryer to heat up the tape prior to top removing it.

I did it! I went to the local antique mall, and got a great buy. I am SO glad I've been watching your videos! They have been really helpful (I left ALL the milk glass behind! LOL). I did end up with a set of pfaltzgraff canisters for $14. Looks like they are selling on Ebay for about $65-75 for the set! And THEN... picked up ANOTHER canister set at Goodwill, for $18 - and THEY are selling on Ebay for about $279! (Drake Designs Tuscan canisters). I would never have even looked at pottery type things, until I watched your channel. Thanks for all you do!

As always you make me smile... the hummingbird was nice... Often a single book end can be used when you dont have enough books for an entire self but can use the wall of a shelf as one end... just quirky... Very urban to have mismatched book ends or just a single... People also use them in closets as dividers for clothing items... Again just quirky soooo if you see a unique one pick it up... it will be purchased.... you just need to let people know how it MIGHT be used because their feeling might be like yours and think you gotta have two.... Use a humming bird and then on the other end a tree log or flowers.... all about the mix and match....lol.... Just food for thought- Jennifer

The blanket is crocheted - afghan stitch center panels with crochet edge. The panels are cross stitched to make the floral design. Probably 60s/ 70s. I made one like it.

What a haul girlfriend. Super! I had the same experience on Tuesday at our Goodwill. In fact I found so much stuff I'm way behind on my blog postings. I told myself that I would get to it first thing this morning, but then I saw you had posted another video so here I am instead. ha ha ha I love your choices, you shop a lot like I do. If you don't like it, why but it?! I too love funky art, it always appeals to me because it isn't something mass produced or commercial looking. Plus it just says someone had fun making it and has a wonky sense of humor like ours. Kindred spirits must stick together. LOL Your video's always put a smile on my face and make me laugh. Now that you've got your haul the real work begins. Cleaning, sorting, photographing, not to mention research. It's all part of the fun, and I sure enjoy the fact you like sharing this. Jocelyn I'm of the opinion that thrift stores are purposely cranking the music to deter people from filming in the stores. You would think they would know when the Crazy Lamp Lady is in the house to know their role and lower the volume on that crappy elevator music. Great stuff as always keep it up.

About the crocheted blanket with the granny trim - there were several patterns to make these from the 1980s and 1990s in magazines and crochet books. Some of them were made by crocheting plain squares and then embroidering over them. Just for your info ….

I’m impressed how you are able to tell what other people will buy. When I go to Goodwill I feel like everything looks like junk. I do think a lot of the stores you visit are better than the ones I’ve gone to tho. I do like going to Flea Market near me- the front part is new stuff but the back area is all old stuff & I’ve seen good things back there.

Just a thought - in reference to the gold Leaf glasses & Tape, use a hair dryer - it softens the tape glue and makes the tape release easily,

Jocelyn..about 10:59 watch for the silver rimmed bowl. I buy these, and the similar coasters sometimes. Some are sterling silver 92.5% and some are just silver plate edges. The sterling ones are marked, but very difficult to locate the stamp. Good chance to pick up silver cheap tho 😊

I am so jealous that the stores in your area group sets with tape /boxes. Mine just sort of scatter things around and I've never once found anything taped or boxed together unless it's in original packaging. I'll usually find parts of sets on different shelves and even different aisles. I often take the time to reunite the pieces on a shelf, but I've always just figured they'll get separated again. 🙄

Love the coffee tray you picked up. You know how you say you have to pay to learn? I did that today. Found a beautiful little glass christmas tree and pulled it 90% out of the box and padding to check for damage. It looked perfect. Of course the damage was hidden in the tiny corner I didn't check. At least I didn't lose much money on it, but lesson learned! Slow down and inspect for damage!

I love that Afghan! So beautiful! I never find anything nice like that in Canadian thrift stores. Did you sell it? Our thrift stores dont wrap or give any bags.
