This is such a terrific style. I have quite a stack of composition books in my supply cabinet and you can bet I pulled one out and was clipping out that signature right along with you! What fun to have a great start on a new journal before your video was even done! I've been wanting to make a whimsical-themed journal soon and I think this will be perfect for it! Thank you!

I came here by way of Anne Kenlon and am so glad I did! I bought a bundle of comp notebooks sometime back. I just didn’t like what I had seen done with them. I like to write as well but even that would be difficult for me to be brief in my journaled thoughts without discipline to do so! I have a bunch of calendars from past years - from the 90’s forward! I threw away all previous year calendars from 1972 back then. Anyway, a shame and I digress. I am looking forward to giving this a good solid try. I’m wondering about using calendar pictures instead of wrapping paper. Ya think? And that’s some nice single color washi tape. Thanks Anne for mentioning this YT and thanks Leah. Oh! The washi tape is what makes it. I’m making several for my granddaughter. I’m not always going to be 19:46 here so I’m making them for different stages of her life. They will be wrapped and marked.

I made one for my may journal to keep memories in it. :) I have used them in the past years then went away from them and now im back, they are so much cheaper than most journals out there.

I really love your style. I just completed my first vintage/retro journal for my stepdaughter. It has one signature but packed! I like the idea of regressing back to the 70s, 80s, and even 90s and make a journal for myself in this style. It should be fun finding stuff.

So pretty! Adding washi is great, however I think you should have added a strip to the wrapping paper pages too, it would make them sturdier and less likely to curl. Just a thought 😊

Love the cat calendar images you picked! I've made a large composition junk journal but with less of the composition pages, I just replaced with other papers but it is a fun way to journal. I hope your friend likes the journal! Thanks for sharing. 🥰🥰🥰

This is such a great video. Thank you for sharing. I use my notebook as a monthly memory keeper and I was wondering how to add or take out pages without ruining my notebook. Definitely good to try this method. 👍🏻

I like to re-do comp books too but your method is much better than what I’ve been doing. 💖 One thing I do like to add though is a binder clip tassel - I actually clip it to the front far left of the cover and it looks so cute! I LOVE everything about this! I am looking online to try to find the washi/masking tape that you are using but I can’t see clearly the top of the packages to get enough information. We do not have the store near us you mentioned where you purchased them. Do you mind sharing the brand/info that is on the top of the label of tape that you are using?
