gym bros being mean is a stereotype, while there's some creeps, most of them are incredibly nice and patient and supportive
@JC-kz3ut3 жыл бұрын
Douchebag stereotypes are usually the weak f*cls with small dicks. Nobody wants to see anyone get hurt lifting, and if someone beats your PB, they haven’t beat you, they’ve beat themselves, which is a reason to celly like it’s 1999 for and with them. I only realised this after someone pointed it out, but the ones looking around at what others are doing ARE usually the ones with stick arms. (Unless Brian Shaw comes into your gym, in which case you’re allowed to stare)

A cool story about Kenneth. He was my good buddy in high school and we were in football together and the first day learning weightlifting the coaches basically taught us clean and jerk and they walked out they wanted us to only use the bar Kenneth started adding weights he was only like 135 lbs and he got all the way up to the max plates which were reds or orange and he lifted it and the coach was shocked literally within 2 months he was in the school lifting tournaments. Even when you have no muscle he was extremely strong and I believe he was one of those people who can use more of his muscle fibers than most people we called him Rambo dude was a beast and nicest guy on the planet

As a 54 year old veteran who is about 100 lbs overweight, I recently went back to the gym. About 3 years ago, I had been working out and had lost some weight but had a freak (non-workout related) accident where I shattered my kneecap and detached my patellar tendon. After some family tragedies, loss of employment and the pandemic, I am now back to trying to get back into shape and be healthy again. This time I decided to take a personalized diet plan from site Next Level Diet, and even hire a personal trainer to make sure I don't cause injuries to my old body with all my limitations from past accidents and age. My trainer and I are focusing on strength training to help with injury prevention and prevent osteoporosis (which runs in my family) and help with arthritis and balance. It has been about a month and I am already feeling so much stronger!!😎😎

You have to be pretty strong to do what he did but I think technique plays a role a big one. Kind of like arm wrestling you don't need to be the strongest but having the right technique. There actually are some 80 years old+ people that strong, and strenght isn't everything. There are many guys in their 80ies or even 90ies who make pretty good runners, great fighters and so on. Keith Smith age 74, chased on foot, caught and defeated a 29 years old. Leutennant Leo Thallasites could defeat a bunch of young guys when he was 86. Longin Bielak was about 90 when he sit back in his formula racing car, and drove much better than most of people would. Not to mention countless people who practice gymnastics and martial arts up to the old age. I believe there are lots of 80-90 years old people who are in much better shape than most of 20 years olds, it's mainly up to how do you live, how do you excercise and what do you eat.

It's because Crossfit is damaging to ones body, none of those guys do it with the correct form. Want proof?
