Charles is such a sweetheart, so awful what he is going through. Brigid is equally as sweet. Cancer is so horrible.

It's not aggressive, it's very treatable, we don't need to respond urgently - people with Cancer would love to hear that...many don't.

A doctor should never ever say these words. There are so many factors and variables, from the sub-type of cancer to health history to even how the immune system and organs react to treatments, to psychological variables, and the information he is giving is not factual and can be completely wrong. He has no info if the cancer has metastasized, and stomach cancers often do. My family member got the diagnosis from doctor saying "it is minuscule, we caught it so early, a great prognosis". Turns out it was a hormone dependent, highly aggressive cancer, and it spread in record time all over.

That's why I always schedule my routine visits for the doctor's first appointnent. It avoids the waiting if something like that happens.

Poor John, once the word Cancer is out of the bag it’s impossible for the brain to comprehend anything else. I wonder if a discussion before the endoscopy, in his case, would help on the backside. Something like, “of course, a scope is just a precaution, we aren’t sure what, if anything we will find, but let’s spend a few minutes to discuss the what ifs, so if it’s an ulcer, we do this…, if it’s gastritis we do this…, if it’s cancer we do… At your age, regardless the diagnosis it’s our goal to make sure we do what we need to for the best out come. I presume at your age you’d want to do everything we can to get you thru any of those diagnoses, so let’s make sure when you come for your results, good, bad or otherwise, you know that the goal is getting you through it with the best results, does that make sense?”

The asthma patient took 40 minutes, so what? Time shouldn't be a factor. Patient care comes first.

It seems the nhs is very strict on how long they can take per patient. I saw one episode where the patient brought up an additional issue and the doctor literally wouldn't listen to them, cut them off and told them they had to make another appointment for that issue. We may have ridiculously expensive Healthcare in the states but I'm glad it doesn't work the way it does there. They literally have zero say in how their medical care is managed. Can't chose what doctor they see, can't see a specialist without the doctor ordering it. One lady had been on her period for months and the doctor told her to reduce her stress. No physical exam, no lab work, no scans, no referral to a gynecologist, even though the patientwas very concerned..just reduce your stress...🤔

Let me tell you something. 1 was he caretaker for my husband for nine months. It was hell watching him waste awayto nothing plus l had to work. I loved him. He died at home I slept with a dead body for 5 hours and didn't know it. You don't know a damm thing. I am not negative and taking care of someone is hardwork So keep on with your making fun and when you don't get your way being resentful. Lana❤

More training is necessary in mental health - when someone is as distressed as Mr. Maury was, there is a real risk of the patient doing something irreparable. The doctor should not have let him go, and potentially should have called on a psychological emergency, or at the least called in a family member and/or make a contract of no self-harm.

She’s scared to go out to work, yet she seems to not have issues with going to the tattoo parlor or nail salon. And they shouldn’t be treating Zahara in the office. Immediate ambulance . Glad they called right away. But the people 30 minutes late for their appointment complaining. What would they do in the States where it’s pretty much normal to be late. And sometimes an hour or more. And that little guy with a fever is so adorable! Telling the doc the specimen container is too small. He is definitely going to be a charmer.

Why don't they get to the root cause!!!!!! So frustrating watching people leave with drugs, no real help. "Those drugs make me worse" "yeah they will do that" makes ZERO SENSE.
