Bless the Italian man with heart failure. Love his outfit. Pink checked shirt, red spotty braces and floral tie.

I look forward to these episodes every week, and they always seem to end too quickly! I love to compare the office with the one I work in. There are some differences, but the similarities are greater. Just a fascinating program

Do this program work like an urgent care or is it more like a primary care physician? Also when you go to A&E do you always need a referral? Thanks for working in the medical field!

The uk is totally overheated. I lived there 15 years and every building/ bus/ train has their heating on full blast even on 50 degree days. Not to be shaming but when I was a little heavier , I constantly sweated living there. When I lost weight the problem was much better

Andrew getting angry at the doctor for asking basic medical questions.. like.. being homeless or whatever and a addict doesn't give you right to be rude to doctor who is trying to help you, but if doctor wasn't informative and didn't explain, he would say, "doctor didn't care! Barely said a word".. him raising his voice "yes!" to everything she said was infuriating...

To be brutally honest Andrew is incredibly disrespectful and rude toward this clearly concerned gp who is clearly worried about his current condition and is being VERY polite and professional herself in trying to impart important health and lifestyle advice that maybe he doesen’t want to face or admit to but are Vitally important to his ability to improve his way in life. She was well within her rights to pull him up about not paying attention to the important instructions she was trying to give him.

He was anxious about being kept waiting, and when listening to her during the consultation. Probably needing his next drink. He said he was drinking a quarter of a bottle of spirits a day. Truth is probably far more than that.

Well, unfortunately there is illness and disease. I believe that people, in general, are having a normal reaction to an abnormal situation. So, until the day ALL illnesses are curable, people need medical support and medical personnel need patients. Right?

This man is an alcoholic who is afraid you'll lecture him about it. His social skills are diminished because of being homeless. He's given up on life with 40 cigs a day and a lot of strong liquor.

Andrew doesn't give two hoots about stopping alcohol and is in complete denial that its causing diarrhea. And his constant Let's get on with it when he didn't understand that he was given an antibiotic to take. And the flu guy was less than 3 days in. He would benefit from Tamiflu.

He didn't have flu. He had a virus or a cold. That's what the doctor was trying to explain. Flu is a truly debilitating disease. If he had flu, he wouldn't be up walking around in 3 days. People say they had "flu" colloquially when they had one of the many viruses that go around, not influenza

Poor Andrew is a homeless, elderly alcoholic. We have no idea of how he became that way, and it would be my fear that he will end up deceased on the street. The "flu guy" did not have the flu. Symptom relief is his only option. Covering his cough and handwashing will help prevent the spread.

@@victoriakefer9863 right? Oh no, he doesn't want to stop drinking. Well loving under a bridge or something, I'm sure it's hard to get up the motivation. He clearly has a catalogue of issues that are complicated, deep and bad. "Doesn't give a hoot" about stopping drinking is the most simplistic, insensitive take.

@@michelew4078 The flu or influenza is a virus which changes every year, which is why the flu shot is different every year as they try to figure out which flu virus is going to show up each year. The last time I had the flu I was sick for a month, yet I got up every day and cared for my two grandchildren because both their parents were deployed. When you have no choice, you get the job done...nothing unessential gets done though!

Inhalers must be unique because expiration dates on pills and capsules is a myth. The US government did a study on 70 year old meds like pain meds and antibiotics and found they were still fine. My cousin is a pharmacist and she said the same thing even though she'd never say that to a customer.

26:40 There has to be a happy medium here. Yes, there is a f**k ton of important details the doctor needs Andrew to know about his treatment. By the same token these doctors ramble on, and on, to the point that the patients just tune it out, just like Andrew did.

I believe they are since they are part of the NHS. I know there are private doctors that they can pay cash or private insurance pays that they can go to...get in more quickly and have more than 10 minutes with each visit. My friends in Australia have private insurance so they can choose their doctors and hospitals...which is funny because mom is a nurse as is one daughter, another daughter is a doctor!

The receptionist Kerry is extremely immature. As a Human Resources professional I would have a conversation with her and review her training. The concern lack of focus and errors in work.
