There's this super old game I used to play called "4Story" it had one of my favorite summonrs class where you could summon an Angel/Devil and a 3rd option where you can after killing ANY normal mob you could make that your summon and keep it untill you decide to change it and it'll keep its original attacks and use them.

How pure a healer is the wand and tome. I only play dedicated healers in MMOs. Cant stand the push to hybrid dps/buff thing that modern MMOs seem to push to. Assumed I could rely on NCsoft but quite worried now.

It just depends on how much customizability we’ll have with our builds , as a sorcerer I’m fine with being the staff guy if I can customize it to fit a certain type of magic like a dark sorcerer instead of having the generic spells that everyone uses on the same staff

Honestly, I think it provides more options. Like skill wise playing sword and shield with wand and tome seems like it'd allow for a paladin-esque build. You buff with tome and wand, then swap to sword and shield to perform your tank buffs and taunts, swap to reapply buffs and debuffs, swap back to continue tanking

@@DSTkunn it’s going to depend if there are skill point investments like you won’t really reach the amount of healing and tanking if you split your resources as opposed to a dedicated support or tank . But if each weapon reaches its full potential by just wielding it then yes that can make for some crazy combinations like a tank archer or healing assassin

would've been better if they went with just the wand or the tome, instead of having both. aesthetically it would've looked better. also, the tome or the wand could've been their own respective classes too. such as the tome being a summoner/buffer type of class while the wand is the curse/healer. oh well. using dual wields for anything looks goofy, even my most cherished assassin/rogue classes. if i do play, i'd go with the longbow/dagger combo. should've been shortbow and dagger though. longbows are obsolete. longbows couldn't do shit to the mongols..mid-ranger, always. 😏

You don't swap your weapons. You have 2 at all time on you, and you have the abilties of both accessible at all time, you can for exemple cast rain of arrow then immediately charge with your shield, you can mix and max weapons combos, like, staff + greatsword etc of course some combos will be better but play how you like.

@@ronaldmahan8417 its like saying chess or Baldurs Gate has no strategic complexitiy... on the contrary: left click, left click, right click, spam, spam.. (realtime combat with aim) .. oh i've beaten you... probably you havent experienced RVR/PVP combat like in Dark Age of Camelot. Which is far far more complex than the cpmbat of New world with actually 4 skills.. and when there are dozens of players on the field you cant strategically pick one specific character which you want to take out (e.g. mezzing / sleeping the healer) .. thats why realtime combat with aim, especially in huge openworld war combat is the dullest thing ever.. if you want to end it in a brainless spam fest, then for sure.. and damn DAOC PVP combat was complex (and fun!) Since you had dozen sorts of crowd control (single Mezz, AoE Mezz, stun, AoE stun, Root, snare etc.) ... positional melee attack skills etc.
