Meh. The trailers really highlight how poor a lot of the animations really are for me. The Gryphon mounts look ridiculous when they run. The Nurgle Palanquin couldn't look much worse. The new Dragon Lord looks like she's glued into her seat and is really stiff.

Yea I still firmly believe that Ungrim Ironfist should be the only slayer lord. However I can see Malakai being a lord just due to how unique he is as slayers go, he’s definitely capable of organizing large scale expeditions when given proper funding. He definitely makes more sense as a lord than gotrek.

Honestly, with the right mods you can already get most of them. Even Elspeth is already available with Mixu's Legendary Lords. Even comes with Theodore. SFO has the Long Rifles and Repeater's as units you get for having the Elector Count Province capitals. Master Engineers is a Mod There's a mod with a collection of unique Steam Tanks. You can get the Thunderbarge mod for the Dwarfs SFO Has Dwarf Shotguns and Engineer Genetic Lords. I've been playing with Mods for so long I legit forget half of these guys aren't base game

Malakai now fulfills the theme of master engineering dwarf faction had missed. Thorgrim sets as the theme of high king of dwarves and his hammerers as his guardians, Ungrim sets as the leader of slayers, Grombrindal sets as the aged guardian of the high king and the leader of dwarven expedition, Belegar sets as the lost leader with his ancestors and supposed to be the true king of Karak Eight Peaks and Thorek sets as the leader of runelords and runesmiths. No one gets the true title of engineering without some passive skills in it, and there's no one other than Malakai that suits for this now.

If I remember correct, the gunnery school Malakai makaison is attached is the Nuln branch so it does make a lot more thematic sense as he marches/flies with the dawi’s greatest allies to the end times. By the way, THANK YOU for mentioning how terrifying the Empire can be for invaders. Tamurkhan, the book, had a scene where Tamurkhan's forces beheld a fortified Imperial city for the first time. Huge walls, bristling with cannons. The thought of having to assault that actually dampened their enthusiasm considerably.

I am hoping Malakai is a hoard faction, CA has figured out how to make them fun, it would be a major shake up to the turtlong and map painting of the present Dwarf Lords. And it fits him, he isn't an empire builder, he is a mad genuis out to test his inventions or die trying, this is Dwarf that goes out of his way to look for a fight and being a hoard faction would support that.

Also correct me if I'm wrong probably the first dlc trailer that I have seen that its a 2v1 rather than a 1v1 or a free for all. Gelt is probably fuming that the Amethyst Order gets their Order specific(upgraded?) units whilst his Gold Order does not especially since the Gold Order is supposed to have good relations with the gunnery school.

Hello, I wanted to ask if my thoughts about the trailer are correct (mainly regarding the dwarves, as I've been waiting for this DLC for a long time). During the trailer, we see all legendary heroes joining factions except, as it seems to me, the dwarves. What I noticed is that the slayer with three mohawks is most likely a regular hero, Slayers with blue tattoos are doom slayers, and the one with 3 mohawks stands out. Another thing that caught my attention more was why they showed us in such detail what's happening on the airship. You can also see a chest with a big letter B, and the airship itself is red, indicating a different paint job than the airships seen at the end. Could it mean that this red one belongs to Bungman and would be a legendary (unrevealed) hero of the dwarves? What do you think about this, and of course, what does everyone else think about it? Thank you very much for the material; I'm looking forward to more information.

Regarding the pestigor lore vs balance thing, I agree that lore would be better to prioritize. It also gives a more unique difference between factions. Some factions might have higher quality troops but less quantity which would make the gameplay experience across factions more unique. Sure that would be harder to balance, but not impossible.

If Malakai Makaisson turns out to be a horde character one thing I would love to see is that allies in adjacent provinces can recruit from him kind of how we can ogre bulls mercenaries and while he is inside of their provinces then that province can now recruit their own gunpowder units even if that province do not have the building for it. Maybe make it so this only works when Malakai Makaisson has got his own gunpowder building and the more it is upgraded the higher tier his allies can recruit from him or something?

The Marienburg Land Ships and the Dwarf Thunderbarges are the things that really excite me the most about this DLC.
