Just changed the same throttle cable on my 355e model, 2016. I took off the heat shield and green back plate for more room. Seat springs didn't need to be taken off. New cable works like a champ! Great helpful video. I believe that I just saved myself $200, thank you!

Thank You Sir. Although I was replacing the Starter Clinoid on the Z335E. Your video showed me the most important part. Taking the body off the frame. The rest was simple, Thank You. John Deere part# AUC15932

Thanks for the video it was a great help. Do you happen to know the part numbers? And thank you ctech01 for adding the part number for the solenoid that I need. 😉

Where exactly is the starting solenoid on this thing? I've watched this video over and over to see where it is once he removed the plastic cover, but I don't see it.
@ctech012 жыл бұрын
@@elijahbey3366 It is on the back side of the battery compartment. Take the battery out and follow the Positive battery cable or the Negative cable. They are both attached to the solenoid. They will lead you right to it. I hope this helped.

My AgPro guy said my throttle cable was getting frayed and I should replace it. Only 58 hours on the JD EZ turn, and never felt any looseness or slack in the throttle lever. He said will cost $133, to replace the cable. I feel like its never been lubricated and maybe that contributed or maybe Im being had? It seemed to work fine in the yard with no issues before I took in for annual tune up. Appreciate any thoughts out there.

Idk anything about that I had this mower for like 900 hours and had to replace the throttle cable twice.

Was there a tiny thin wire somewhere in yours? Some mouse got into mine this week and I found a thin wire wrapped all up in the flywheel

Part # AUC10079 $64.06. I'm thinking I'll take the bumper off so if I don't have the cable right it will be easy to adjust. And if you have the Torx sockets, you probably don't need to remove all that plastic, just bend the plastic out some and get it from underneath. Thanks for the video.

I realize that you're trying to minimize the length of this video, but you're kinda jumping ahead too much. I have a Z235 and I'm trying to remove the cover so I can wire LED lights on it. On this model, you don’t have to remove the seat springs.

So marking the cable didn’t make any difference in the end.
