There are very few ktm owners who actually ride sensibly, you are one of them. Most of the ktm owners are just bunch of immature kids wanting to open the throttle everywhere. Subscribed.

Using the Alpha H1 on the CBR250R for over 2000 kms so far, still no noticeable wear and the grip while cornering once the tyre has warmed up is insane. never buying any other tyre for a sub 400 cc bike again.

This is my first view over ,.all Oggy F vlogs For those who are new to Oggy's channel ..(should have this in their knowledge).. unlike other famous Moto loggers Oggy goes through all of his vlog comments and replies them as well , as he did reply for 2 of my comments which i think are not useful .so make sure your comments to be informative, as this channel seems it is all about sharing knowledge to bikers. comment may not be appreciative but should sound decent. but one thing , First impression = i like Oggy's way of communication, as he will make it up to point , and ...he is as grippy as APOLLO ALPHA H1 types over his passion and what he speaks.

I recommend you to try Michelin Pilot Road 5 which is a sport touring rain tyres, so as the name tells it's a sport touring which means the tyre can last easily 30,000 to 35,000 kms because heavy silica hard compound at the middle and also the side of the tyre is soft compund and also the treads on the side has been removed a bit compared to road 4 to improve the cornering ability and also tyre has a 2ct+ design which means that the centre of the tyre and the sidewall have the same hard compound to help increase tyre life and cornering confidence and also the wet grip on this tyre is the best than most tyres, this tyre has water reservoir to help dissipate water even at high speed, acceleration, braking, but still u want u to watch some videos on youtube and consider the tyre it is usually double cost as a mrf rev z but this tyre can last double the life.

The Streets are hard compound tyres that will give you a lot of life but may compromise on the performance. The Apollos will give you a good blend of both. I wouldn't suggest changing just one tyre at a time though.. It's better to change both together or stuck to the same model as the tread patterns at the front and back are designed to work together.

Thanks for the question. While I haven't had a chance to ride the vitpilen yet since the media rides were cancelled, I personally feel that the Duke would be the better buy if it's not your first motorcycle. While the vitpilen may stand out of the crowd, what matters to me more is that I would probably get bored of the performance of the 250 sooner than I would that of the 390. Just my 2 cents ✌🏻

Really appreciate your content and find them useful ♥️💯👌 . I am planning to upgrade my bike tires to 150/60 r17 and 110/70 r17 for pulsar 200 ns . Is it safe to upgrade to this size as my bike has got 130/70 and 100/80 stock . Is there a possibility of the tires de-beading during cornering?
@OggyF
@OggyF 4 жыл бұрын
Highly unlikely but you may want to consult mechanics from your motorcycle's service center before doing so. Also, the handling of the motorcycle would be affected because of the changes in tyre width at the front and back.

@abhimanyu.ganguly
@abhimanyu.ganguly 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the prompt response Oggy. The pilot streets aren't really available everywhere these days due to the virus and the import ban. They're selling at about 14K-15K a set which rather seems a bit overpriced to me especially given the fact that they were the most affordable premium tires at a point in time. Not just that they're selling 2019 stock now which isn't advisable I've heard. On the contrary the H1s now come at a price tag just a little north of 10K a set which sounds like a steal to me (both tyre quotations from Kwikfix India) Do you think spending the premium amount on the Pilot Streets is worth it?

i think your rear tyre is mounted in opposite direction.. the small 3 lined arrow shape should be pointing in the direction of forward rotation, i guess. Now I don't know if it makes any difference, or it can be fitted either way. But that water channel system must work in a particular direction to work at full efficiency. I got mine installed today same as yours, and its bugging me since.. Not even apollo store owner knows which direction it should be mounted.
@OggyF
@OggyF 4 жыл бұрын
You're right. The arrow on the tyre wall needs to point in the direction that the tyre rotates when the motorcycle is in motion. I checked and it's mounted correctly. The tread pattern on the front and the back tyre are designed differently cause they handle different responsibilities. I remember reading an article on motorcycle.com about it.

@OggyF
@OggyF 4 жыл бұрын
Hey Roy. While the metzellers are undoubtedly great performance tyres, they're a softer compound and wear out quicker than other tyres. The Apollos offer a great balance between performance and longevity and perform well in the rains too. I've seen a few Indian California Superbike School coaches use the Apollos on their personal race bikes... I think that itself is a testament to how well they perform 😊. Stay safe bud ✌🏻

What should be trye pressure for front and rear tyre......i have fzs25 bs6 .... front is 110/70 and rear is 150/60 ...i upgraded to Apollo alpha h1
@OggyF
@OggyF 3 жыл бұрын
The owners manual will give you an indication of what the ideal pressure should be. On the RC, it's 29/29 solo and they specify how much you have to increase if there's a pillion

@@OggyF but in owners manual it is 25 for front 100/80 and for rear it is 29 for my 140/70 for my previous stock tyre but as i have chage it to 110/70 and 150/60, now also should we follow the tyre pressure given in owners manual which is for stock tyres ?
@OggyF
@OggyF 3 жыл бұрын
@@rahulkumawat115 I'd suggest sticking with those tyre pressures to begin with. If you feel that the handling is a bit sluggish, then go up by a couple PSI

Hey oggy! I was wondering which tyre u would recommend as u have used both ceat zoom rad X1 and the alpha H1. I'm confused for which I should go for cause the stock tyre on the R15 V3 aren't the best 😅

Between the 2, the H1. Purely because I've used it in the rain and it works great.

Unfortunately didn't get to test the Ceats inthe rain so not sure how well they perform on wet roads. The Apollos worked very well in the wet so I'd recommend them.

Been using the same from past 5000KM, bought it for 10500/- pair, I'd say these are amazing, I'm more like into touring and stuff, rode in snow, water, highways almost every where, better than Michellin for sure and almost same as Metz! Worth it!

What is the tyre pressure on your bike Im asking bcoz my rr 310 manual says 33 psi for front and back both. But others say make 40psi at the back. So what is the correct tyre pressure as per you?

@@OggyF what happens to the tyres if we exceed the tyre pressure which is written in the manual?
@OggyF
@OggyF 4 жыл бұрын
@@sumitmoolchandani4977 higher tyre pressure results in quite a few things. I've listed some below. That being said, a few psi up or down from the factory recommend pressure won't affect it significantly - Smaller contact patch with the road - Less grip because of a smaller contact latch - longer braking distance - increased wear of the center of the tyre - Reduced handling and responsiveness

Hi Oggy! I was running the M7RRs on my RC 390. Unfortunately, my rear tyre is damaged now. Can I go for the Alpha H1 just on the rear? As I have hardly done 10000 kms on the the M7s and the front tyre hasn't worn out 30% yet. Or I should go for the pair of new tyres?
@OggyF

A new set is always recommended. The front and rear tread patterns are designed to work together.

The rim may pinch the 150 tyre a bit more, causing a reduction in the contact patch surface and affect the handling.

Thank you Uday. I've been using them for around 8k kms now and they haven't shown any significant signs of wearing out. No buzzing noises.. Though my 2015 rc isn't exactly silent enough for me to listen to anything else 🤷‍♂️. These could suit the Dominar well too... Also consider the Michelin road 5s. They are a great set of tyres too.
