When Pastor Brett mentions God being as unto a Lion, I couldn't help but think of the movie The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe, Mr. Tumnus speaking of Aslan, (which is an allegory of Christ): "After all, he's not a tame lion." Lucy: "No, but he is good." God is not bound by humanity, He's not a genie in a bottle; but He is just, righteous, and good.

@@gregzydonis6173 In Romans 14 talks about being a stumbling block to the weaker Christian. When one has a alcohol problem, then don’t judge that one by being a stumbling block to them. Don’t condemn someone for their weakness. Example: If I attend a church where some are more liberal and have Bible studies where they say drinking is okay and they invite me to their Bible study, and me being a recovering alcoholic or a having problem with it, then scripture says they should seize from drinking or even discussing during the study, and instead teach if it’s Romans 14 the way Paul meant it to be taught. Don’t put a stumbling block to that one. That’s what I mean, because I believe that’s what Paul meant.

The word "I" is speaking of the Lord. It is introduced at the beginning of the thought in verse 6 and it closes the discourse in verse 16. The Lord is telling Israel that He is burdened by the transgressions of Israel. Carrying them is like carrying a ton of bricks. I'm not sure why he would find this difficult, but the discourse belongs solely to the Lord as spoken through Amos. This is a common way for the Lord to speak to the people. See Isaiah 1:14 and Jeremiahs 15:6 for similar sentiments. May our Lord bless you & your family Pastor Brett!
