Just got back from Monument Valley last week! It was a hard trip on me as I am 81 years old, and my wife is 77. We flew out of Dallas to Alburquerque and arrived there about 11:30. We had a rent car waiting on us, so we hit the highways and roads toward The View Hotel at the valley. We arrived after dark so we couldn't see anything but the two-lane blacktop before us. Some tough roads getting there with drop offs and soft shoulders, so we recommend arriving in the daytime. We checked into our room and quickly fell asleep. The sun was already up when we awoke the next morning. And as I opened the curtains to the balcony, we were suddenly awe-struck as if we had been transported to another unearthly world. My God I cried! My wife ran to me, and we just stared for minutes at the spectacle before us. The sheer beauty and stillness of the desert valley before us with monuments so close, we could nearly touch them, we felt the nearness of our Maker. We have travelled a good bit in our lives together and have seen some fantastic sights, but never a sight such as this! I don't have the vocabulary to paint the incredible aesthetic beauty of Monument Valley.

A trip "to die for", just gorgeous 😍❤. Utah is my fav US state. I am German, visited Bryce Canyon and Zion Nat. Park in 1977. It was one of my lifetime memories. In 1986, my former husband and I explored Monument Valley, and a dream came true since I am a John Wayne Western fan and saw this iconic place. Goulding's Lodge was the place to be, nearly no cars in the Park and unlimited driving, what was the best 😀. This times are gone forever, very sad! Arches and Natural Bridges are still on my bucket list, but now everything is easier bc. I am calling the US my home for over 20 years. I came from Europe for the beauty of the Southwest and decided to stay in this part of the country. It was worth the journey! Thank you again, for this amazing road excursion ❤💖💕.

I did this tour in the late 1970s. Boy, have things changed. We were the only ones in most parks and the only 2 people in Monument Valley the #1 park for me. We were invited to spend the night in a hogan in Kayenta. We also went to 4 corners and stood on 4 states at once.Fry bread, yum, what memories. When I first visited the Grand Canyon we were 2 of only 4 people in the Grand Canyon at that time of day and one mystery ride bus, lol. I'm so happy I got to do this trip before civilization destroyed it. I have also crossed America via train 4 times in a sleeper prior to COVID and I'm thankful for that amazing experience. Even train travel and the magical experience have been diminished. 😢 America is the most breathtakingly beautiful country on the planet. Over tourism and disrespect for the land is destroying it😢

Firstly, Thank you for an incredibly , incredibly amazing viewing....I live in India and have been fascinated by National Parks since decades.Whike I have visited some ,my greatest wish was to see the Mighty Five.Have admired photos of Parks shared from Treasured Lands book and other online photos shared by photographers. But this video takes one through the real experience ...Mesmerizing sunrise, sunsets ,beautiful twinning of Monsey and reddish golden , amber hues sunsets , sunstars on the turrets, towers, arches and magnificent landscapes ...Tbe play of light over the hoodoos in Bryce Canyon was absolutely captivating.. History through the passage of time is encapsulated beautifully . Grand Canyon was spectacular when I had witnessed it but after watching this video ,I am absolutely enraptured .Wanted to do so badly the Big Five and the Four Corners point. Of enthralling viewing and amazing journeys...Fantastic video...Thanks

You wrote what I thought. Wonderful relationship and a nice father, as long I cannot see his „bad“ sides 🤓
