Hi Tim. I’m sticking with aqs810, mainly for the tough solar feature and I have no problem with the lume lasting most if not all night long. The digital part is not a deal breaker either. I’m also not to keen on having people’s phone numbers on my watch for security reasons (a personal choice, of course). If I don’t have my phone, I’d have to borrow one to make a call anyway. The aqs810 is a great watch for the $21.00 price I paid.

I hear you on the security concerns with the data bank. I struggle with the small display on the AqS810. I do like the tough solar feature…maintenance free power source.

What a neat watch. On a side note I did not know the Falkniven was made of VG10 steel... Interesting. Only seen that on Spyderco's This Casio is packed with features! Like the shrouded buttons and the light button placement is great! Wonder why they didn't put a light on the digitizer. I read some of the comments below and I don't know if its applicable here but many databanks have a password function so you could keep the info safe. Interesting that you could use the hands that way! Overall seems like you got yourself a keeper! Awesome review as always bro! Hope you have a great week!

Thanks! This data bank doesn’t have password protection. I would only include numbers for emergency contacts. I doubt there’s a phone number completely private to prying eyes anyway (Having any type of cell phone eliminates that). Not having a light on the digital display is baffling to me.

@@Realidealgear Thats too bad. Still a very usefull tool! You are quite right and the worst part is that we willingly buy them to enslave and corrupt us. Phones are far scarier than what the average person might think. Hope you have a great day Brother!

No one beats Casio when it comes to high quality budget options. My favorite budget option from them is the AE1500WHX. The display is huge and legible. The light is good and it has all the functions I need. Plus 10ATM and 10 year battery life. I use it more than most of my GShocks.

That is a great model. It’s interesting to me how many share they have non G-Shocks that get heavily used and are still going strong. Thanks for sharing!

It's true some of the Casio collection look even better than some G Shocks, but this Casio HDC 700 has a glued bezel... I'd like to know if this is actually tough and durable... Cause the watch is stunning.
@juanv53754 ай бұрын
Is it actually durable? I've seen in other review the bezel is just glued and the screws are fake.
@Realidealgear4 ай бұрын
I’ve also seen those reviews where the bezel comes off. I’ve not experienced any malfunction with the bezel coming off. I put my work Casio watches through intense work and it’s not been a problem. I Cant say it would never happen. Thanks for watching and have a great weekend.

Can we change the strap?
@Realidealgear6 ай бұрын
Yes. I’ve never done it as I’m one to maintain original straps for the sake of keeping things original.

It’s a standard Casio strap. Probably, based on the size wrist.

Thank you sir, I find your review the most usefull for this model. Btw, how do you feel when wearing it? Does it feel like toy or more robust feeling? Is it comfortable for running, working etc? On render photo every casio looks like a toy even a g shock, but when I see it on your wrist it's another story.

The HDC700 is fine to wear. I think it’s more of wearing it daily for a while and the height is minimized mentally.

@@Realidealgear yes I daily wear MTP-1302, but still have a steel watch with 44mm diameter so dimensions is not that big of a deal. I really need something lighter, sporty and more functional. Thank you for your answer sir.

HDC700 is lightweight for sure and the databank feature is reassuring.

HDC has the light button in your favorite position. But the light itself sucks. Moreover it's lighting something that can already be seen in the dark, namely, the loom. But won't light up the other important part that really needs the light, namely, the digital face. Makes the whole lighting system pointless.
