Great job, my friend! Watched the entire episode. I loved what you said about not replacing what doesn't need replaced in the first place to save money. That's exactly how I go about my builds. Also, got a good laugh with you on the ground sanding/buffing away, as I most often am working on the floor. Fun times! I realize that I really should be wearing at least a mask while I'm sanding and buffing parts... I always get so focused I totally forget. Nice work!
@GregHitchko3 жыл бұрын
Right on!! Yeah man, if it doesn't need to be replaced right now, why replace it? These builds can be made affordable by making little tweaks like that. But I was cracking myself up sitting on the floor too! Not always glitz and glamor, just anyway to make it happen, I appreciate the support!

A steel kawi frame is never supposed to be anything but kawi green, period. I should know,y kx250 currently has a black frame. That has got to go. BTW this is a great idea. A ton of work though. I’m trying to get motivated to tear down that 250 and trying to decide where to start. I know tearing it down will take no time. But putting it back together will be a project in itself.

@@GregHitchko That’s kind of my plan. This thing was janky as hell. Motor wise it’s got good compression. My biggest problem is that I can’t get it to idle to the 2 stroke pop, pop, pop. The carb has been rebuilt. Jetting should be spot on. It just wants to idle high. I can get it to idle low but once I blip the throttle it will rev up then die like it’s being choked of air. I’ve read and read and read about carb tuning, it just wants to idle high to be happy and stay running. Driving me bonkers.
