Thank you, John . It is very generous of you to share your creativity with us. As the risk of sounding picky, we can see the effect of what you are doing but not what you are doing with your hands. If you shot from the other side of the wheel we could see your hand positions. Thank you again, I have learned much from you. Claire

Thanks so much for this awesome demonstration. I love the detail that you created! One question from a new potter...Does using the torch to speed the process of trimming and such increase the risk of your piece cracking? I like the idea of torching but am concerned about drying too quickly. Thanks Scott

Very Cute! I would have left out the raised dot at the top of the handle- that's where I'd like to rest my thumb. These are very precious, you have fine skills.

So I see you are using a blow torch is that in stead of a kiln? What type of clay are you using?
@potteryworks7 жыл бұрын
RabbitKat Lady the torch is only to speed up trying. It's a stoneware clay and fired in a kiln

@DirtKickerStudio I USE THE HYDRO BAT SYSTEM THAT THE CERAMIC SHOP MAKES IN PHILY PA. ITS PLASTER AND WITH THE SMALLER BATS YOU NEED AN ADAPTOR.. JOHN

For beginners like me, the position of you thumb is interesting. It is sometimes hard to make the thumb "go in" properly.
