Love this new video. I have learned so much from you. Am really looking forward to trying this and forming other shapes using this technique. ❤

Hello, new subbie here. I’m new to pottery and have been binge watching so many videos. I really enjoy how you teach because it’s very thorough and detailed, plus you use layman’s terms which I appreciate. I have a quick question. What is the material used on the pottery wheel underneath the bat? And the purpose of it? Thanks in advance.

I typically use a bat mate! They are designed to help the bat not to wiggle around! amzn.to/45BeGef

Always look forward to your videos, inspiring. Am new to pottery, would you suggest types of clay, underglazes & glazes for making a bird feeder & jewelry dish. Also, would be hand building, what thickness would you advice for rolling?

I've been working exclusively with Standard Raku clay lately (bought too much) and it bugs me to no end that you can't wet sponge it. I've never tried a brush, thanks for the tip! 🤞👍

@KaransPotsAndGlass How hard would it be to create a glazed white ceramic rectangular vessel sink for a bathroom vanity? The only people on youtube creating such sinks use concrete, so I'm guessing it's a challenging process without factory equipment..?

Very challenging- for a rectangular form, typically it would be slip cast for strength, it could be done with slabs, of course, but it would be fairly difficult.
