@@marleonetti7 I think the defendant messed up by telling the judge that the plaintiff has stored stuff on her property before, so now there's a precedent and it doesn't make sense that she wouldn't have any idea where something came from. She even told him to take something else away and he did. Even if it was abandoned, she probably still would've had to give him a chance to claim it depending on the laws in their area.

When Judge Milian asked if she could call him, she said I'm in a wheelchair and would have to change the set up. now I'm not sure that's super true unless she has some special computer set up for her wheelchair but I don't think she was keeping the son from her.

You are aware that the peoples court ends up paying the actual moneys. Similar to Judge Judy’s Court. The defendant still gets the judgement against them though.

@@epitomefran2825 true. But it's not an actual legal judgment. Judge Milian is no longer a legal sitting Judge, she's basically an actor who is using her legal knowledge to arbitrate cases. Both litigants actually had a small claim filed with an actual court, the show contacts them and invites them on the show if they agree to have Judge Milian hear and solve it and they have to agree to drop their small claims case that was filed in a real court. Each are paid to be on the show and whatever amount is owed comes out of the amount they're paid from the show. The same thing with Judge Judy. She no longer is an actual sitting Judge either, but both were judges at one point before they became actors.

Just because you know someone is in construction doesn't give them the right to take your things. Remember he said when she needs help, he helps her, didn't he also say his friend helped her with plumbing issues? brings shopping for her sometimes, so it does make sense that he would store things on her property. Just because someone is disabled doesn't mean they cant make a mistake or be guilty of wrong doing. She did admit to having a stroke and I wouldn't doubt that parts of her memory could have been affected especially if the stroke was around the same time. She may have just forgotten that he brought it by more recently and just assumed it had been there forever because of that. Th son definitely could have shed some light but unfortunately it wasn't in the cards for him to come on camera.
