Please tell me where you got the trimming tool you use that is similar to to a triangle but missing one side. I cannot locate them anywhere and I have no idea what it’s called

When trimming if both the rim and the base are uneven which do you trim first? How do you not alter the shape by trimming

most of the time i trim the base just so it’s even first, then place it down and trim the rim. then i move to the base to perfect it

I really want to know what is that u use to define the edges of the piece, like is that a piece of cloth or a thin sponge? Really curious to know

It’s a piece of chamois cloth, which I think is sometimes leather
