This week's video sees a return to throwing and trimming tall, stemmed bowls, only this time they are FAR taller. I'm making with my usual high iron stoneware clay and compared to the previous iterations I made, these were far more difficult to trim. In fact, they may be the deepest feet I've ever turned, making them quite a challenge. I hope you enjoy!

When trimming if both the rim and the base are uneven which do you trim first? How do you not alter the shape by trimming

most of the time i trim the base just so it’s even first, then place it down and trim the rim. then i move to the base to perfect it

I really want to know what is that u use to define the edges of the piece, like is that a piece of cloth or a thin sponge? Really curious to know

It’s a piece of chamois cloth, which I think is sometimes leather
