Smart idea to remove your shoes. As a young child I got stuck in the mud at the neighbor’s house during construction. My savior was another neighbor boy who laid scrap boards across the mud to reach me. My boots remained stuck in the mud as I road piggyback to safety. Smart move to call in reinforcements!

If you haven't already, put the ipad in a bag of rice and leave it over night or even longer. We have revived a couple of phones that way, one of wich had been laying outdoors in the november rain (sweden) for 3-4 weeks.

All my life I've been afraid of dying in quicksand and I'm not being dramatic when I say, I think the mud there in FL is definitely quicksand disguised as MUD!! I mean, I was born in 79 and all the movies back then had at least 1 person dying or almost dying because of it.
