You captured the Knife's Edge trail's exposure. A stumble or slip would be a disaster. We hiked in the 70s. It's also remote so a rescue would be difficult. But it is one of the prettiest places in North America.

That was AWESOME! Congratulations on an amazing bucket list item (?). Seriously I would have crawled on all fours for lots of that trail but you did it!! Watching this on my husbands iPad but I followed you and Taylor last year on the AT. Take care. M Elizabeth.

Hey Cody! I watched you and Taylor on your thru hike last year! I love you guys!!! Was so excited to see you made a special trip to Momma K when you were up for Taylor's wedding! I hiked it for the first time last September and also did Knifes Edge. It is both terrifying and exhilarating!!! Love to see your content! Stay well!!! ❤️

Congratulations! Knife's Edge gets the heart racing for sure. I haven't done it myself. Maybe one day. Edit: You seem like a natural on camera too. It's like people couldn't tell.

Since you parked at Roaring Brook Campground, after doing Knife Edge, you can take the Saddle Trail down the mountain and then the Chimney Pond Trail back to Roaring Brook. That way you don't have to do Knife Edge twice. I think it shakes down to about nine or ten miles if you do it that way.

It's easy to become disoriented and get turned around in the Maine forest. It happened to me just the other day but I was hiking a finite section of forest and walked my way out. So, there was no real danger and it's summer so you're likely to come across someone that could set you straight.

Were you in the area for Nahamsha's wedding ? ..then decided "let me drive up to Maine for Knife's Edge" ..anyway, greata footage on Knife's Edge..scare the shit out of me

Awesome hike! You made it look easy.. What did you think of Helton Taylor trail and Dudley ? I heard Hunt is more difficult to climb up and its better to take knife edge from pamola to the peak? Trying to plan my route,,,rather have distance and less difficulty lol

If you can handle hiking Angels Landing in Zion National Park out in Utah, then you could probably handle the Kathadin Knife Edge Trail. Angels Landing is widely considered the deadliest trail in the US. However, most of the fatalities on Angels Landing are due to very foolish things like people turning their back next to a 1000ft cliff to take a selfie, and then falling to their death. Who in their right mind thinks that it’s a smart idea to turn your back next to a 1000ft cliff? Angels Landing and the Kathadin Knife Edge are two hikes that demand good common sense, and your complete attention to every single footstep. Moreover, know your personal limits, and pay attention when your instincts warn you of danger. If you do that, then chances are you’ll be perfectly safe, and will have a fun hike.
