“Privileges” doesn’t have a ”D”. But don’t worry, I struggled remembering that for the longest time too lol. Good recap 👍

You mentioned that there's an advisory circular on privileges for a commercial pilot. If it so important, can you cite your source for which AC covers the part 91 limitations you're concerned with? Being vague isn't helping narrow down which AC I should be looking for

How are you gonna mention an advisory circular and not tell us the numbers?

AC120-12A is the main one she is speaking of, regarding common vs private carriage and holding out. Also AC91-37B truth in leasing.

The bottom line is that you should be a real pilot cause you're going to have public on board with you...i mean this reason is enough for anyone to insure that he knows what he's doing regardless of the fact that he should be tested or examined
@TheFlyingZulu Жыл бұрын
Yea... But what jobs are out there for a new commercial pilot though? Pipeline surveying or banner towing probably? There are no passengers on those flights. I'm saying this because I think it's silly that a private pilot can't do these basic jobs. To me the commercial rating is just a glorified private...

Taxi'ing with a tailwind, without riding brakes, throttle all the way out, to the threshold, is a feat I'd like to see....seriously.........unless high speed taxi's are cool. Common sense prevails overall here though...EDIT: I just spent a half an hour looking "An advisory circular written about commercial pilot privileges for part 91 operations". Goose eggs! Will advise when I find. I'm back. I contend she is in error, There is no A.C. and 61.133 rules the rules of the land. Change my mind.

I can’t find one AC for this either. Seems to be split between common carriage, holding out, and expense sharing circulars.
@SuperEddietv Жыл бұрын
@@dzboarder I found it. It's a collaboration of a government/school secret. You know, a way of weeding out self teaching and forcing people into schools for proper mind bending. AC 120.12A. Be curious if this gets deleted because a public forum isn't paying for the information or do we truly believe pilots need to be the best, stress free, most informed for safety?! Oddly, In the book "everything Explained for the professional pilot", in the commercial operations chapter, it does not reference this exactly and that is a great book. The actual AC is more confusing than the book but it IS government approved. I smell a rat.
@evanthompson5575 Жыл бұрын
@@dzboarder probably a mix of 120-12A and 91-37B for both types of carriage, and then operational control and leasing legality.
