Nice review. Thanks. I went with the T150, mostly because of cost, under $200 in Canada, and upgradable. Plan to upgrade the peddles. I have also decided to do a full cockpit for racing and flying. So price was a major consideration. Wanted the T300 but at over $300 in Canada I decided to go with the cheeped and upgrade.

I agree the materials of the G29 are better but the feel of the FFB is so bad that when I brought mine I immediately sold it for a T150 and haven't looked back. What very few reviewers mention is the dead-zone on the G29, it's horrendous! I could never recommend a G29 to anyone, even as a cheap entry level wheel. The T150 is far better if you actually want control of your vehicle. I'll soon be upgrading to a T300 as I want the extra quality and the modularity.
@SimplyTechReviews5 жыл бұрын
I have T300 absolutely terrible on GT sport. Do you play GT Sport with T150?
@TheClassicWorld5 жыл бұрын
So, is the G29, with its hard feedback, more 'realistic' or is the T150, with its smooth, less loud feedback, more 'realistic' to real racing/drifting? Also, which is easier to use? Which is better for a non-racer, I assume the smoother option of the T150? Of course, the G29 pedals are much better. Does that matter as much as the wheel? Which should I buy, assuming I have not really driven a car before nor played with mid-range/high-end wheels in-game before, either... I need help figuring out if I want the T150 Pro or the G29!
@SimplyTechReviews5 жыл бұрын
@@TheClassicWorld Depends on what you like. Personally I found G29 feedback more strong and engaging whilst the T150 feedback left a lot to be desired. On the straights it feels like little to no feedback. Also note that while playing sim games feedback is the only way to know things like grip, understeer, feel rumblestrip etc. So if the feedback is weak or similar to roadcar, you dont have other things like g-forces, weight transfer etc to know whats going on in the track. Having said that, I use T300 as my daily driver. Its good in some games, and absolutely pathetic in GT Sport.
@TheClassicWorld5 жыл бұрын
@@SimplyTechReviews Well, I think I need the smoother, easier, and not at all loud setup, and good pedals/everything else, at a low cost. Would that be the T150 Pro? I heard the G29 feedback is very loud and not smooth (since it's gears-driven rather than belts). I can also assume that the G29 is much harder to use/play with and since I have zero gametime with a wheel, I assume the T150 Pro is the one to use as a starter set to actually control the car and get better with it? I also heard the T150 Pro has slightly better pedals than the G29?

great video, but what's with the gunshots between some of the transitions?
@suitedbastard34063 жыл бұрын
Good video! I agree with a lot of your points here; however, having owned and used both the T150 Pro and the G29 I do have a few things I would like to add to all this. I started out using the G29 in 2016 after my old G27 finally broke down. I must say that the build quality is very good considering the price point and it is, by all means, a good choice for anyone looking for an entry wheel. There has been a lot of back and forth on sim racing forums regarding the "notchy" FFB of the G29, but what I think it all comes down to is what you are looking for. Let it be noted that I sometimes still hook up my G29 for some arcade-style racing once in a while; because like you said, it’s a fun wheel! The first things I noticed when I bought the T150 Pro was how it is more "predictable" than the G29, and thus feels more smooth in terms of FFB. The G29 might have slightly more torque but having spent countless hours trying to improve my racing with both wheels I'll have to give it to the T150, the Belt/Gear hybrid just makes it easier to be consistent with it. Considering that the Pro version of the T150 comes with the T3PA pedals the G29 package kind of lose some of the advantages it had prior to the T150 Pro-release in 2017. I agree with you on the T300, that’s a better wheel than both the T150 and the G29. If you can afford to go for the T300, do it. One major aspect you also didn't touch on is the ecosystem that comes with the different brands. Thrustmaster is has a far better ecosystem, if you picked up a T150 Pro and realize that you actually enjoy sim racing a lot and would like to add to your equipment your options are way better than if you happened to get the G29. This was the reason I ended up buying a T150 in the first place, I wanted the better gearbox available for Thrustmaster and the handbrake. Later on, I swapped out the wheel with an F1 style wheel before I bought the T3PA-PRO pedals. Finally, I got the Thrustmaster T-GT in 2019. With Thrutstmaster you can upgrade in small increments if you are worried about cost without having to worry about compatibility. Right now I’m looking into selling my Thrustmaster gear in favor of swapping to a Fanatec, mostly because I tested a friend's setup and the Fanatec pedals are just in another league.

Good production on this video. Only gripe, if u want to call it that, is the lack of type of games tested. I only saw f1, which I don't play. It would of been cool testing it on arcades, crew, NFS, bikes, and even dirt. I think dirt would've given you a very different Feedback experience.
@SimplyTechReviews5 жыл бұрын
Rightly said... I have plaid dirt, Asetto Corsa, GT Sport and I can see feedback on F1 is the best. With GT sport you have to manually set steering rotation degree every time by hitting mode +!direction arrow. Also you get this rubber band effect in these games which is very bad. Most games have profile for G29 but not many have for T300. In the end these steerings are not as great as made out to be. Also when making these decisions pedals are important too. Specially the brake pedal. Unfortunately all 3 wheels have pretty average pedals.

I used to have the older version of the G29 (before the PS4 version) and used it on Ps3....most games you can dial down the force feedback level if you're fighting the wheel too much and it's noisy. excellent video it helped me make the decision. my TMX pro wheel broke and I managed to pick up a T300RS gt on Ebay for £40 :) it didn't come with any pedals and I don't really think the dude knew what he was selling. I already have the t3pa pedals from my tmx (tbh those are not great and nowhere near as good as my G27 pedals were) but still they work and i got a t300 for 40 quid :) does anybody know of a way to use logitech pedals with a thrustmaster wheel because I'd much rather use my old G27 set than the t3pa. (the g27 set has upgraded springs in the pedals too so I'd really like to be able to use them) the g27 wheel died a long time ago . (I'm on PC) something most people don't point to in these comparison videos is the terrible desk clamping solution on the logitech stuff, I like to do a lot of drifting which is quite heavy handed when it comes to wheel input and the clamps on my g27 were not up to the job, (I modded the wheel with some mini woodworking clamps) Logitechs clamping solution is not even close to thrustmasters. IMO if logitech would address the clamps the G29 would be unbeatable in the budget wheel market. tbh i didn't mind the notchy feel, it gave it a mechanical feel that i kinda liked. the wheel just didn't turn fast enough for my drifting needs (even the TMX is a lot smoother and quicker in that regard) and the t300 is way beyond either the g27 or tmx. one upgrade that logitech did do on the 29 tho was changing the sensor on the motor shaft. in the G27 it was a mechanical part. a little disk with slots cut in it and a light sensor (same way an old balled mouse used to work) on the G29 they changed that out for a HAL sensor that senses the rotation position using magnets (so no moving, rubbing parts) that little slotted disk breaking was a common fault on G27's. it's a bit disheartening to see that logitech now no longer include the shifter in the package like they used to with the G27

Are you sure you mean the t3pa are worse than the logitech pedals? The G29 is better than the T300 though for feedback. It works with motors but no belts, which give direct instant feedback. The T300 uses motors with belts which means there will be some small amount of lagging in feedback delivery because of the elasticity in the belts. Also this can worsen over time as the belts start to slacken.

I think many don't include that fact that the T300 doesn't come with the TP3A pedals (let alone shifter) as standard. Once they're in the equation the deal isn't half as sweet as the G29. Moreover the T300 may feel better and more responsive but isn't as reliable. Belt drive is more prone to failure. A near new but used G27 - which includes shifter as standard - can be had for £50 which is by far the best deal. I've a collection of wheels, I've yet to find a better deal than the G27, which is mechanically near identical to the G29/G203.

I am switching from the T300RS GT to the G29 mainly because of reliability issues. The T300RS GT died on me in just a dozen sessions but was within the 30 day return window. so it's going back to Amazon. It's actually an amazing wheel. If only it worked well. I do not want to have to deal with certain things dying on the Thrustmaster, so I am switching to the G29 as it has been refined over the years (nearly a decade) by Logitech plus you won't have warranty/customer service hell. The force feedback won't be as great as the T150/T300 but you get good materials (leather cover, well constructed foot pedals). If I were to pick a Thrustmaster again, I would get the T150 as it's more reliable than the T300RS if you look at the number of negative reviews in Amazon as a ratio/percentage of failure rates against good reviews.

Great review but for me choosing between T300RS and G29 depends largely on your choice of game. If u spend more time on precise racing games like F1, T300RS is your wheel to go (and the modular capabilities really do wonders in case u plan on upgrading the system without breaking the bank). Otherwise, if you are more into games like rally games or Beam NG - G29 is a good wheel to go with.

Hmmm.. I had G27 for a 4 years.. That was a very good steering wheel.. Gives me a lots of fun. Then I decided to buy the G29 which... Wasn't any better as I thought at the beginning... I heard form others users of G29 that this steering wheel is much better than G29, is much quiet than G27 and its perfect when u want to play at night.. But in my opinion this was the G27 after a small facelift... Logitech didn't change anything at all in this steering wheel. Was still really loud as it was before.. For ETS2/ATS was okay, but when I tried to play Dirt 2.0... Geeez. This was a disaster just because of the gears inside the steering wheel... And then i finally decided to upgrade this shitty G29 to a T300RS and.... This steering wheel gives me fun from all the games i played on G29.. Is soooo sooo smooth because of the belt inside the steering wheel which is perfect. The FFB is in my opinion perfect. I can "feel" the car on the track, and is much easir to control any vehicle.

@SimplyTechReviews5 жыл бұрын
T150 has smoother force feedback but has a lot less power, pedals are really poor and materials are cheap. The G29 is louder, notchy, has more force and much better pedals. You will get used to both wheels. The G29 is more premium whee. In terms of fun G29 is better while having no impact on realism. If T150 is more expensive, by all means go for G29.
@TrendingPendingVideos5 жыл бұрын
TechCheat Reviews what does no impact on realism you mean tho If it has better force feedback how can it be less realistic??. Is the g29 way smaller in hands or is it basically the same ? Like does it feel like. A real size wheel
@SimplyTechReviews5 жыл бұрын
T150 Pros: Smoother, quieter and more realistic force feedback. Cons: Weak force feedback, cheap materials, very bad stock pedals(this is important), less buttons on wheel, wheels can develop hardware fault G29 Pros: Stronger force feedback, better quality materials overall, better pedals, more Buttons on wheel Cons: Knotchy and less smooth force feedback, louder, slightly smaller in size If you ask me, in an ideal world G29 is priced higher then T150. It warrants the premium. Since you are getting G29 cheaper, I fee this should be an obvious choice!
