If you are in the under $500 price range I highly recommend giving Thrustmaster TX or this TSPC wheelbase a try. I was much happier when I switched from the Fanatec CSL wheelbase to the TX like 3-4 years ago. Several steering wheels to choose from now. The pedals are total crap though so I still use the very nice Fanatec set with load cell brake. Most PC games will let you set it up to use both at same time.

Yeah nice fan mount but can you change it? My experience of their fans is they use very cheap fans that often fail within hours of use. I want to be able to replace it with a high quality Noctua that actually moves some air. Otherwise to be honest this unit looks ok. It's basically a beefed up TX/T300 in a better case. Comparing this to the T300 it seems way better build airflow and temps wise, psu is out of the unit and the fan seems to be proper placed. It's clear that they know they did a poor job with T300 and fixed it here. On average this seems to be able to last long and not so prone to failure due to heat, also not have FFB powerdown's depending on your in house temperatures I guess. They should have took the T300 out of line and just replaced it with this one, or at least make a proper casing and psu for the older model and let's say call it T350. I think sales on this product have suffered from the fact that the T300 is not reliable due to those issues.

Barry, just for your information but a kilo is 1000. So 1 kilogram is 1000 grams, just like 1 kilobyte is 1000 bytes for example or 1 kilometer being 1000 meters. Metric is just simple and easy to use once you get used to it. Also I think they only had one side open of the top cover vents because the other side is above the motor, which has an open armature. So as to prevent dust, liquids and other things falling into the armature they closed it up. Lastly, I thought you were going to open up the power adapter too?

Seriously people, the weight of the actual wheel does not have nearly the same difference in "overstraining the motor" compared to the size of the wheel. A couple hundred grams one way or the other is insignificant compared to a wheel which is, for example, 270mm in diameter as opposed to 320mm. The torque exerted on the motor by your hands is significantly larger on a 320mm wheel vs a 270mm wheel. If you want a tighter, stronger, more agile force feedback, use a smaller wheel, not a lighter one.
@wergilius6 жыл бұрын
Well I was to agree on that, but even on an DD base the weight do make an difference as I had to notice when I got an smaller (320->280mm) wheel but carbon fiber so it was way lighter. The diameter do have the most impact yes, but when it comes to force regulation then weight is an parameter especially when it comes to details in FFB. An heavier wheel will regardless of diameter act as an damping filter of details compared to an lighter one.

Barry 1 question Would the rim & rpm lights work on the Thrustmaster TGT base??? Rrgards RV

@Tyrell Meadows So the shift lights will still work on older wheel bases (i.e. TX, T300, T500RS)?

This or the csl elite in terms of ffb?
@Sithhy3 жыл бұрын
I know I'm (over) a year late, but if you still have to choose, you should get for the CSL Elite or the upcoming CSL DD. While this Thrustmaster wheel is good, the Fanatec's have better & stronger FFB overall

Still wondering if this is worth it I don’t mind paying more for fanatec but I’d have to fly to Australia to buy it or find a way to get it to New Zealand since they don’t ship here

before you buy the thrustmaster tspc racer I would read up on it,when I receive mine I used it probably about 2 hours, wen't to use it the next day it was dead totally would not work nothing no power no LED lights not anything,tried hooking it up on another computer,tried another power cord USB cord nothing,$460 seriously I would read up on it and see what the troubles people have had,after wrestling with this thing for about 2 days I plug my old wheel back in thrustmaster TX perfect I hope this help somebody from making the same mistake that I made.

Opinions please,I use T300 Alcantara with T3pa PRO, I was thinking about buying TS -PC base or Fanatec V2.5 but not in new condition , Same price 600 euros. Is there a huge difference ? Because I am afraid to buy used wheel. Thanks a lot
