That ’back-pedal-brake-action’ is very common on standard bikes here in northern europe. Not only on vintage bikes, but modern ones too. Sell them!
@gasstationpeanuts18142 жыл бұрын
The Walkman is noice! It would be hard for me to sell as well. And speaking of bikes, you might poke around Craigslist/Kijiji or local bike shops and see if you can find someone to buy them 2-5 at a time for parts/repair. I'm sure you've thought of that or prefer to just turn and burn as scrap but I'm a big believer in having "a guy" for each category of junk I run into. I have a guy for bikes, a guy for flatscreens, a guy for appliances, and even a guy for motorized wheelchairs, believe it or not!
@thubprint2 жыл бұрын
I’ve been wanting a guy for flatscreens! A bike guy would be good too, I actually hadn’t thought of that. A stack of bikes sold in bulk is a real good idea

Thse bycicles are nice. Reminds me of this find I once had of pure copper ingots near the copper factory. It was near a sign saying "copper Ingots: please do not steal or you will get shot". The sign was made out of steel so good weight.

you need to find a local bike repair guy, an old man who works out of his garage fixing trash bikes, and drop the bikes you find to them for a few bucks, mutually beneficial situation, I used to have a guy that would grab my bikes, only give $5-10 per bike but that's more than you'll get in straight scrap... just a thought mate, keep doing the thing!

I know it's too late but the seat on that blue bike is worth a fast 35 bucks on eBay. The guy version of that bike is often restored, and your seat is one of the items people often need. It’s so interesting to me how the majority of people agree the plan should be to get out as quickly as possible and not meet anyone! I’ve met my share of angry folks but they never do anything, and a lot of the time meeting people leads to extra scrap being tossed my way. That’s the whole reason I go out in the day!

It isn't really about meeting/not meeting people but about CYA. Just in case you get someone that wants you to put everything back if you do it in stages at least you got something for your time.
