Off and on over the years with guitar. Took lessons but never really got into playing. Suddenly got the fever again. Making progress and have to agree with others that you have the perfect personality for teaching and your lessons are spot on. The days I don’t feel like practicing I watch one of your videos to get me in the mood. I’ve made more progress in the past 3 months than the previous 20 years Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm and talent with the rest of us mere mortals

I've been playing for 25 years but skipped a lot of the basics like this. Then I've tried many times to nail this strumming technique, but never really got it. Until now. Your video was the one that finally made it click. Thank you so much.

I love this video. I am in grade 1 but I have to keep it fun so I figure I can start practicing this lesson. Especially when my fretting fingers hurt to much to do song practice. I can just mute the strings and practice laying the foundation for this technique.

Just great stuff. Feels like you unlocked all the old be-bop songs from the fifties that were based out of country and western. It's like my guitar is a whole band on one set of strings!

Another Great lesson Justin. Thank you . This is a really fun technique. Very versatile for a variety of styles. I was literally watching the blackbird video today and this pops up excellent timing😂 I think I need to adjust my bridge because my strings don’t hit the frets and get that percussive sound and I’m sure I’m hitting my strings hard enough🙈 my truss rod wont adjust any further either💀

Hey thanks for this Justin. I've been learning guitar strumming pickless for 2 years now, but have been unable to wrap my head around certain songs. This video explained it. I strum first down with my fingernails then up with the side of my thumb. I've been trying to learn your way for 2 days. I've just watched through your video for Deathcab for a Cutie, and now I can play that! Last week I had no idea how to play that song, always wanted to play it. This way is gonna help with strumming Ring Of Fire too. I've already been trying out combining this strum with my thumb strum, and I'm getting some nice effects.
