I would suspect that the IQ of these people is somewhere in the 60-69 area. The horses aren't really being mistreated, but this is NOT harness racing -- it's some kind of gypsy lunacy.

Most driving horses are first of all bred for it (french trotters) amd they have diffrent shoes on that are thicker than normal shoes and have grips on them

If u want your horse to be a better racing horse u should really think about how to handle them. Theese will pretty soon get injured if u don't stop trotting on hard ground. And your arguments like "most horses" or " we have always done like this" is just rubbish. How can anything get better if u don't change it? And finally. About girls whip the horse to jump... I have never seen that. U whip your horses way to much

I hate seeing horses trotting out on cement or blacktop. It is so bad for their legs/joints.

You can't describe the kindness shown to you? Maybe they can show that to the horses too? Forcing them in a wrong gate, letting them run between traffic over asphalt fast isn't very friendly, it's bad for their hooves and legs. Not to mention the way they're pulling the bits through the mouths. I'm glad YOU were treated so nice but maybe you can teach them how to treat a horse.
