@@Laid2Sleep the same with most decks. The win condition is the extra deck, you need to add cards from deck to hand, you also need to be able to banish.

@@Laid2Sleep I did explain it. The win condition is the extra deck so preventing a Thunder Dragon player access to extra deck or negating special summons from extra deck is key. Using hand traps like Droll, Ash, or other cards that can prevent adding cards from deck to hand puts the brakes on Thunder Dragon from extending to double Titan. Then comes banishing. The Thunder Dragon player needs to bait out negates for Thunder Dragon banish effects to go through. If unsuccessful it's a near auto-lose. Cards like Imperial Iron Wall stuns the deck from making plays. All of this pretty much goes for most decks in this game since they are heavily reliant on the extra deck, adding cards from deck to hand, and banishing. Examples: SPYRAL, Salamangreat, Dragon Link, Water, Orcust, Lunalight, etc.

I really love this deck, but does Pot of Desires really help you all that much? Everytime I try to use it in a deck I somewhat have bad luck with it.

You should use Desires when you have the cards you want to see or have access to, even if that means waiting for an extra turn. Any other time, it's a gamble (Desires into Desires sucks). You don't have to use it or other cards, you can make it to your own liking. A general rule of thumb, if you play Desires in any deck, it's recommended to max out at 3 if the deck lacks draw power. 2 is ok if the deck has draw power. Never at 1.
