Great vid! Couple things I ran into while performing this fix: 1) The USB-C board had 0 clearance to be removed/inserted, meaning I had to exert some force to get the board out and back in properly. The connector's design makes this feasible, as it won't result in the wires crimping if it's loaded moderately. The clearance might vary from machine to machine, as it looks like others haven't had this issue. 2) If you want to test the fix, you might need to complete the reassembly, and plug it in to power. I tried to test the battery's connection before I screwed the back panel on, but it only booted up after the panel was screwed back on and I plugged it in. Thanks again!

Hi my m1 has just stopped charging I have cleaned all the debris I think mine is also corroded What is the part number of the spare thunderbolt port do you know/ found it in the description thx/ how would you go about diagnosing that it is in fact the port and not software related

@@YouSmokeChed The M1 13" Pro is only 2 TB ports for most if not all SKUs, and from the tutorials I've seen it involves removing the motherboard.
