Hey Robbie, at the start of the Video you saw a Flash of Lightning and wondered where the clap of Thunder was. If you see a flash of lightening start counting in one second intervals. If you then hear the clap of Thunder, stop counting. Let’s say that you counted to 10, you multiply 10 seconds x 342 (speed travels at 342 metres per second. So in your case the Thunder was 3.42 kms away. Great Video as always Robbie
@robbiefishing2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Andy. You calculations are more precise than mine. I was taught that sound travels at 5 seconds per mile, therefore 10 seconds would be 2 miles away. 2 miles is around 3.2km, so our calculations are only 200 metres out. haha

Hiya rob You guys did well , nice fish Can I ask how big do the trout cod run to ? Is it a sub species of the Murray ? Thanks great entertainment 😎🏴
@robbiefishing2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Muchael. They're a different species, but similar. The trout cod, sometimes called "Bluenose" tend to inhabit the upland sections of the rivers whereas the Murray cod are more downstream. I live in an area that is a bit of a bugger zone where the both live.
@robbiefishing2 жыл бұрын
Generally they're not as big ad Murray cod. I've seen photos of them up to 90cm, and I've seen photos of Murray cod up over 130cm. My biggest trout cod is around d 70cm.
