New subscriber. Just found your channel and, as the previous commenter wrote, if Bob Ross had a cooking channel this would be it and, it would. This dipping sauce looks so good but wow, the amount of chilis! I could handle maybe a half of a Thai Chili and even then I'd be sweating. Btw, I'm trying to figure out what country you're in and I'm thinking either Canada or somewhere in the state of Oregon.

Terrific sauce! I grilled chicken breast which I sliced along with poached shrimp. Both were delicious with the sauce being the star. Would you reveal where your living now cause it sure isn't Thailand. Feed the curiosity. Thanks again

I'm not able to grill the seafood on fire outdoors so how would you suggest cooking the shrimps indoors in a pan? Just plain? Should I add seasoning? I made the Nam Jim sauce already and tonight will be my first time trying it. I'm very excited 😁🎉
@ThunThunChannel2 ай бұрын
@@ericapoultryz1007 thank you so much for making it! I hope you enjoy it. You can season the shrimp anyway you’d like but the sauce will have lots of flavor already. It can be pan fried or boiled as well. The sauce also goes well with steak

After 3 or4 days the lime juice looses its punch and cilantro is no longer bright.
it looks so tasty but for some reason i cant get past the fish sauce, i tried it and i didn't like fish sauce taste at all, a bit musky as well. Are there any substitutes?

Would you use palm sugar instead of granulated sugar? Just curious…
@ThunThunChannel8 ай бұрын
Absolutely! You can use Palm Sugar, which is more commonly used in Nam Jim Seafood. However, white sugar works great too.

Everybody has different tastes of course, but this one was far too watery. 19 yrs in Thailand and always had it much thicker both at people's homes and in restaurants.

Also added white sugar compared to coconut sugar which also thickens it ! Learnt that from an old exec chef I worked under from Mae sot
