I own black cavaliers and they’ve been much better than your experience, I’ve noticed the outsole wearing faster than normal outsoles but I think that’s the nature of the less substantial materials used vs my captains. I’ve owned them for a little under a year and haven’t had any issues so far, I bought them for formal use but I like them so much I wear them casually, dates, grocery runs, walks etc.

How are the bottoms of your soles? Any wear in the places I showed in mine or anything similar as far as extreme wear in a particular spot? I didn't even notice the hole until we had a bit of rain out of nowhere and I stepped in a puddle and my entire foot was soaked.

⁠@@RedwolfEDCwow that’s wild, man. I have wear but nothing remotely as extreme as yours. I haven’t worn through the leather yet and the studs are still ok. The wear has been uniform and in the places you’d expect from any other boot, definitely nothing out of the ordinary.

@Bayou987 That's so werid man, I bought them all at the exact same time so maybe it was a QC issue and a bit of bad luck/bad timing. Dude, I have a pair of those exact boots that I've owned for almost 4 months worn at minimum 3 days a week and they don't look ANYTHING like that. I couldn't comprehend what you could have done in 11 days to produce that outcome.

It's clearly a quality control issue with this batch of product cause it happened 3 times but all the boots were purchased at the same time so that's my only explanation.

I have the same issues, i got my cavalier yesterday. I wore them one hour today, and the sole is already tearing apart. I'm gonna ask for a refund. There are many Amazon reviews about this issue.

Cavaliers are more of a dress boot...don't believe they got like that in 11 days...or 3 days....you must be running over the crappiest ground and doing burn outs in a dress boot.....I rotate and maintain all my boots and never had had any issues....this is bogus bro

It doesn't happen so there must be an issue with these soles. I own a lot of boots from a lot if brands ranging from crazy custom one offs to more budget offerings and it's never happened before, I usually get at least a year out of a sole at minimum.

Well thank you for this video and heads up my dude, I have the Captains, President and Hero Boots, was looking to add a pair of Cavaliers but then watched your video. Yikes is all I can really say. I notice they don’t seem to push this boot as much as the others, and literally everything on their website has a 4.9 rating 🤔

I dont have have the cavaliers, but I've never had any issues with any of there other styles of boots. But this is ridiculous and they need to come up with a solution to fix this.

I have everything from Viberg, nicks, Aldens, whites, Truman and even a pair of kerosenes in my collection. I'm well aware of what quality boots are and my other Thursday boots are quality, obviously they aren't the same quality as those legends I mentioned but they are good quality for a fraction of the price and I own several pairs of their boots that I have years of wear on without any issues. To the best of my knowledge this is the only model/sole that has any major issues. Thursday as a brand is generally solid but I would tell everyone to avoid this model like the plague.

Brother, that is not 3 days worth of wear and tear on those heels. I have a pair of captains ive used in rotation with some iron rangers for like 3 years now, and their heel look barely worse than in this video. How do you walk my guy, you even lift your feet?

The only thing that isn't adding up is that I have absolutely no reason to lie. My channel is small, my view counts are low, I do not have a patreon, if you wanted to become a "channel member" you literally couldn't because I have that feature turned off. The only reason I even make any money off of any of these videos is because I turn on monetization so I can turn off mid video add breaks because if I don't youtube will spam you guys mid video with bullshit and that money adds up to about $45 per month on average give or take a few bucks, and I make that $45 plus 17.25 per hour already just by working so it really doesn't make any difference at all. Besides that all of these boots are worn into the boot itself which means they would need a complete rebuild that would end up costing more then the boot itself and this has happened 3 times now totaling $600 usd. At the end of the day you can believe what you want but I am just speaking logically here but there really is zero reason to lie. Especially because I like the brand, I love my OG captains and my explorers are literally my most worn boot by a mile and I would highly recommend those boots to anyone. So if it isn't about money, fame, recognition or bashing the brand. Then why? And if you cannot come up with an answer then maybe just take what I said as fact because for me it is, these boots are garbage which makes me sad because I loved them and I wish they were better.

The closest we have to anything like that here is RM Williams. They’re stockmen boots & can last a lifetime when resoled. I get 12 mths min out of flipflops, so I’d be taking all that dinky three musketeer stuff back. & I dont know any dudes with 90 pairs of anything on standby, that’s nut$.😂

Yep, & been following yr content for years, so no doubt u legit wore out these boots 11 days, which is fkn ridiculous. But, cool that the RM’s served u well. TBH, I think RM’s were designed to serve the average 6’2” 250lb rough as guts stockman. Also like my CRK’s & yr Zaan vid was gold, after 3 views, I ordered and now got only 5.5 years left before it arrives. Cheers👍💯

@enwin1912 Do the retailers not ship to Australia? Cause there are plenty of drops for zaans and some decent deals on secondary as well. But yeah man I have an obsession with boots, like i just bought a pair of the "feral swine" boots which are a collaboration between "stridewise" (Another Aussie) and "caswell boot co." It's service boot made out of wild boar hide and they are awesome. 😊

Nice boots & excellent use of feral pigs. I don’t do a lot of dress up stuff, but probably should, ta for the tip. So…our choices are limited here by the bureacratic mafia who have systematically disarmed the population and restricted stuff. You work with what u got & be patient here. I'd definitely inquire about those, especially when you've invested in others and haven't had that experience before.

Sure bud and exactly what purpose would that serve? Thursday has sent me boots free of charge before and this video will close that door for sure. Beyond that If this was an attack on the brand then why would I praise other offerings from Thursday in this video and only have something bad to say about the Cavilars? No, instead of shoving this under the rug in hopes of more free products like other channels I addressed it openly and burned a bridge so people can hopefully save some money and not experience what I did. But as always you are entitled to believe whatever you want too, but logically your viewpoint has no upside for me, no benefit so I have no reason to lie.
