Can I ask how it is you manage with a cold water shave? I found it necessary to use hot water to load my brush, which essentially makes cold water shaves pointless as I cant wring out my brush after loading it to get rid of the hot water.

Good question. I initially wet my brush with cold water and load my brush using cold water. I will slowly add cold water to my brush to properly hydrate my lather. I will rinse my face between passes with cold water too. The only time I use warm water is when I'm rinsing my brush at the end of my shave. I've found that hot water isn't a necessity and can generally get more irritation free shaves with cold water.

@@TheVirtualGroomroom I suppose it may have been the soap that I was using(Declaration grooming) that just wouldn't break down enough with the cold water to load. Perhaps blooming first with hot water and then loading with cold in the brush would do the trick.

Duhizy I Bloom, load and lather Declaration Grooming with cold water and it works well for me.
