An example of this I could imagine is 2nd generation immigrants from a specific country. If you've seen the guy who did the "Emotional damage" meme, he has a whole series about "Asian parents". In his comments you can see plenty of people that had or have similar issues with their parents who immigrated to the west, but kept a lot of their cultural beliefs and expectations. You could arguably say that this is an example of shared trauma, but I don't think so.

The "therapist" rejecting CBT is showing the exact mindset that CBT alleges to correct. Letting negative thoughts twist and immiserate your life. It's not about having happy thoughts, it's about recognizing negative (and largely false) thoughts like catastrophizing a setback into reasonable proportion. "No, this flat tire will not cause me to go bankrupt, costing me my marriage and my kids. It sucks but I can deal with it and move on."

Every language using the latin alphabet does not have this problem. Also cursive has a practical use, it is very efficient because you don't have to lift your pen while writing, which is why on computers it isn't used while in handwriting it is. Unless you want to ditch handwriting altogether (which is a bad idea as it has been linked to better cognitive abilities) cursive is here to stay. Also why should we even ditch cursive for immigrants in the firdt place, uprooting part of our writing system in doing so? The japanese won't phase out their 3 different scripts and the chinese won't ditch either simplified or traditional chinese. It won't happen and it shouldn't happen.

With the regards to the 'radical black therapist' I am going to assume that the reason they are not saying "Psychologist" or "Psychiatrist" is because those are protected terms. It is illegal to call yourself either term if you are not one. No shrink will call themselves therapist. I always explicitly refer to myself as a psychologist partly because I do not wanna get loaded in with the nutjobs these days calling themselves therapist because they googled what cognitive behavior therapy is. Which also means since they are unlicensed wackjobs they have no mandatory reporting.
