A sadiron is one pointed at both ends (rather than flat at the bottom, as a modern one usually is) and has a removable handle. Sad, here, means heavy or ponderous. These were generally sold in sets of 3 irons with one handle so one could be heating 2 while using the third.

I solved this puzzle without bothering to read the clockwise clues. I'm going to watch your video to get the answers. Too dang busy today to totally suss them out.

So I went back to my puzzle and then figured out the answers to the rotated clues - comic con, one income, innocence and zoomzoom. Very clever. I actually had a better solve time average today than most Thursdays. Weird.
