well this is very usefull, i was unable to find any of this information in the manual. is it there? i just changed from the 84 plus and it seems to have some differences

page 934 (i found it), i have no idea why that manual doesn't have a proper index to adress this kind of thing. by the way, degree polar mode (and gradian) was missing in this video, it is often better to work with radian since it is more exact and degree doesn't compute right all the answers and identities but for some areas it is better to work with degree and polar, like electronic engineering and circuits

Oops..having some grief here with my TI89 Titanium (rad mode, complex polar form). Tried multiplying complex polar numbers and getting wrong answer from calc. e^2i X e^3i should be e^5i but calc says e^-1.283i

Tried e^2 X e^3 and no problem e^5. Tried dividing e^2i / e^3i and no problem e^-1i but when I multiply e^2i X e^ 3i get same calculator error e^-1.283i

You might be surprised but that's the correct answer. Think of it in angles, measured in radians. e^5i is a complex number with modulus 1 and an angle of 5 rad. Now 5 rad is 2π-1.28318 (6.28318-1,28318=5) so the angle is indeed -1.283 rad (approximately) because 5 rad is between 3π/2 and 2π.
