As others have said, these get way longer over time, but your thoughts at the end sum up a main theme of the first bunch of short episides; the Emperor hears how bad things have gone and he's not impressed lol The TTS series started when the Ultramarines and Grey Knights - or elements of them - had become infamously overpowered, so they get roasted a bit here. Also at this time, Roboute Guilliman was still in stasis, staving off a mortal wound, on the Ultramarines' homeworld Macragge. For all most of us knew, that's how it was gonna stay. Even after he returns in lore, TTS kept doing its own thing :) Great to see you trying this one out and enjoying it, whenever you decide to try more!

Oh the Emperor's roasting gets really savage in later episodes😂. The Big E talking shit about the other factions and how actually messed up the Inquisition is. There is a lot of lore drops as the custodes fills him in with what happened, and his reactions are so good😂😂😂.

Toasters are ols technology and since old technonoly is sacred to the Adeptus Mechanicus, it became a meme. The emperor just letting go of all the rage built up over centuries is absolutely hilarious. Especially the first couple of episodes are great. I had to repeat some parts when I first watched it because I was laughing so much I wasn't able to follow the video.

If you're ever looking at playing 40k, TTS (tabletop simulator) is a really great way to play it cheaply on your PC. It can be kinda difficult to set up, but there are tutorials and it's super fun

It's also a great way to test what faction fits your playstyle, especially if you already have played the game a bit but are shopping for a second/additional faction and want to try them out to see what fits.

since we all know, orks are the fun guys, we do have canon verions of ork kultur, Goff rockers, up on youtube. the game company rougeside who made the "shootas blood and teef" game have put up a video on their page with the titular song with the ork musicans from the game. and GW themselves put up a video for Krumpmas where the goff rocker Slash (legally separate entity from the band member in guns and roses) sings "ERE we go"

The first dozen or so episodes are like 5 minutes, later episodes get longer, they are all glorious. You will have content from this for quite awhile ;) You will also learn quite a bit of the deeper lore too.

Agreed👏 This is the setting/universe that made “Grimdark” an actual term. We not asking for her to react to the “All The Gods Are Dead” series and be all suuuuper grimdark. But the Emperor calling an imperial fist a banana boy as we climbs up to the throne saying “daddy!” …….. really…. That’s not Warhammer…. It took several books for Gulliman just to GET to Holy Terra and have a few words with the Emperor. How is THAT journey or end scene supposed to have any narrative weight if your conception of the lore is built on this TTS series? It’s great for US, who take the lore too seriously and need to lighten up sometimes. It’s horrible as an introduction though, and whoever’s recommending it to her is asking for a few cheap/quick laughs, not a deep dive.

Personally I prefer to grow the user base, and the best way to do that is if they enjoy it, TTS is great on lore and entertainment, it is perfectly fine for the universe, its excellent for getting in new people.

I really don’t like the Emperor’s TSS series. It just turns the setting into a joke. Opening up large swathes of lore to become quickly summed up in a short joke without context.
