I do like how you emphasized that to use gear if you need it. I spent a lot of time avoiding using a belt, knee sleeves, etc bc I didn’t want to over rely on it. But if you’re hurting, it will only get worse if you don’t give your joints a bit of rest. Great video Tia🫶🏽

I wear knee sleeves a lot mainly for squatting movements and I also wear them for if I have a lot of burpees I use them cuz it is a Movement that you slam you knees to the floor fast and I find kneee sleeves to help pad the descent of the burpees and take some of the pain out of the knees. I love them for squats. Anything I have to go in the hole for I use knee sleeves

Thank you, Tia. I live in Nashville now, but moving back to VA to train with a special coach for my rookie year qualifying for the Games 2023. I came to East Nashville once right before i got hurt and beat the time by 2 minutes. I was so excited. You were at the last day of the Games, but it’s been an honor watching you and learning. Excited to finally get back to full strength training. Hope to see you at the Games in 2023. Ive dropped everything and everyone and focus all on training. Again this is not questions, but just wanted to say thanks again. Family is very supportive and getting me all the proper gear for Christmas now that im healed up and ready to get back to it. Take care and keep rocking it Tia. Go get another championship!

Seeing some haters on the use of equipment. Belts aren't just for support and injury but huge for breathing and bracing properly (life changing) for just being a better lifter and increasing weight. Sleeves just depends on individual too. I'm the opposite of Toomey and use elbows sleeves due to use and maintenance of injury and almost never need knee sleeves. Point is there are haters for both sides who should have more an open mind and just find what works for them and not be quick to judge.

Question, would the $30 the speed rope costs be worth it for someone like me who can only really hope to jump rope for health. I cannot do most exercises, and probably shouldn't do this lol But I have to do something, for me though $30 is a huge expenditure.

it says something about the lifters if you go through 2 pairs a season! Dedicated weightlifters will go years without changing their lifting shoe, and they do everything in the lifters, whereas crossfit athletes aren't in their lifters all the time. not to knock on Nobull, but they are overpriced and after hearing that Tia goes through 2 pairs every year, really makes me want to stay away from them!
