This is such a rarity to see from professional athletes in any sport - thank you, Tia, we owe you for this one; showing everyone else who follows you and sees what an incredible athlete you are, you are also a human being, and as the tide changes in our life, we must learn to flow with it.

You are such an inspiration. As a 60 year old with multiple health diagnoses motivation isn’t always easy. You gained 20 lbs I went up 100 after a change in medication and suddenly having to raise a grandchild. Thank you for being open about your struggles and reminding us to just keep grinding. Some days walking 12 feet across the living room is as hard as walking a mile but I know eventually I’ll fight my way back. Keep putting out the great content and best wishes on all your future endeavors.

Tia, I'm blown away by your journey and you are an inspiration to me. In the old days, when I was doing my exercises, I always stopped at the first opportunity I got because I thought that was my limit. Ever since I started seeing you in your competitions, my mind started "giving me away" about how I could go beyond what I was already doing. I was learning to control the pain and overcome it, do more sets and do a better workout every day. These days, when I'm working out, when I get to the end of each set, I always think I'm in a crossfit competition and you're the only person I'm fighting to win so I need to take care of finishing one more set. Thank you for inspiring me and changing my mind, I improved my workouts and my body even more and managed to take that to my students too (I'm a teacher). Thanks

Love the intro. And you don't have to feel embarrassed about telling us you had McDonalds and other foods you normally don't eat. I can't imagine what gaining and maintaining 20 pounds of muscle would be like eating purely clean. I'm trying to gain 10lbs eating relatively healthy and lifting and my stomach hated me when I started eating more, especially just clean food. I don't think I can do it if I don't eat junk food sometimes (or a lot of times probably, but I do crave unhealthy foods less) of course I'm just a normal girl. You've got to be strict with your regimen. I'm in awe of how you do it. Keep up good work!

Good luck, Tia! I can't wait to see your day of eating video whenever it comes out if it comes out. I've been playing around with my weight too. I'm 6'7 265lbs athletic, and in order to stay thin during lockdown I went down 2415 calories a day out of the 3800 my sports nutritionist originally had me on. Then, as I've gotten back to work and university, I've gotten up to exactly 3300 right now with 166g protein, 70g fat, and 415g of carbs. Just last week, I added an item to bridge 20 missing grams of protein to my diet. After that week, despite the fact that I'm eating more, I noticed I've actually lost weight. My clothing fits looser and my belt keeps coming undone at random times. It's so cool how the body works and how, when you're not starving it, the less you can sometimes weigh, if you're eating the right stuff.
