My daughter had triplets. The Dr said it was a miracle, they were trying for a girl because they had 3 boys. She had a miscarriage, so they tried again. The Dr said you are having twins come back when you are 8 weeks so they can do a altrosound and low and behold the twins were in one sack and the girl was in a sack by herself. Miracle in itself. Thank you Jesus. They will be 3 in May.

I remember watching sister, sister and a lot of the experiences that we're portrayed on the show we experienced. I love how you gave the advice to parents of twins to embrace individuality, I believe it's very important.

I never felt alone growing up, even though my twin is my brother, we had a close and honest relationship all the way up to his transition. He passed due to a fiercely fought battle with cancer when we were 30. When I speak about my childhood, I often speak in terms of "We". Ten years later, I met my husband who is a twin too. He will sometimes introduce us to new acquaintances as us being twins. I often feel I have to make sure people understand that we are not each other's twin, but that we both have twin brothers. Lol! I have always admired you and your sister's work. It is so great to see you two come out as incredible individual loving and caring spirits. God bless you and your entire family. I lost my brother tragically too and felt like I was the one going to die months before he did and we're not twins but I know it's so hard...the hole never seems to go away and everyday it's like he just died...I pray your strength and do speak joy and blessings over your life although I don't even know you. I'm a fraternal twin. I can definitely relate when you said that people back then were very drawn to us, and we also spread a lot of joy. We were even on the news because my mom was in a car accident when she was pregnant with us. They called us miracle babies. My brother and I had a wonderful childhood though. We were each other's best friends, and there was definitely never a dull moment. We dressed alike, went everywhere together, and slept together. We were definitely a package deal. As we got older, it was a struggle for us to live separate lives. My mom encouraged us to have separate classes and eventually separate schools. I didn't understand it then, but now I appreciate it because it gave us that push to find our individuality. Our biggest adjustment though was when I went away to college. He has autism, so my mom decided that it would be best for him to stay home with her. The college I decided to go to was in another city about 2 hours away. That was the farthest we have been away from each other and the longest period. We missed each other so much!!! We even missed a few birthdays because of conflicting schedules. I know it was really odd for him to not have his twin sister by his side, but now that I am done with college and I have a full time job with weekends off, he and I can spend more time together. He is always the first one at the door when I come visit, and I always give him the biggest hug. And then we start bonding and talking as if I never left lol. It's definitely a peaceful feeling when are together. Unexplainable. We grew up watching you and your siblings on tv. We loved Sister Sister and Smart Guy, and Halloween was not Halloween without watching Halloweentown, Hocus Pocus, and Twitches. I loved you on The Game as Melanie and watching Tamera on The Real. It was wonderful for us to see such positive role models we could relate to on the big screen. And it's great to see you now maturing into your own with your families and careers. You ladies rock, and I hope nothing but the best for you and yours!

When I was diagnosed Stage 3A Breast Cancer, my Twin Sister Julia was absolutely devastated! She tried everything she could to come up North from Bakersfield, California (where I was born & raised) to where I live now for almost 3 years in Visalia, California to visit me, but I understand completely why she couldn't after all! I'm not mad at her what's so ever, even though she think I am! She did call/video call me multiple times a day & made me laugh like no tomorrow! Laughter is simply the best medicine! Because of her amazing sense of humor, God's healing hands, etc, I'm proud to say that I'm a Twin & beat Cancer! She's my rock & I'm hers! We love each other so much with our hearts to the moon & back! I honestly don't know what to do without her in my life! Oh, one more thing: I'm the oldest by one minute! That lesson about feeling guilty about being different can apply to all siblings. I never really thought about it until now. While my sister and I are not twins, we were close in age and super close until we weren't. Unfortunately, we didn't know how to deal with that shift. It's taken us almost 30 years to come back together and respect our differences. This also makes me have to check in as a parent of 3 very different boys that we not only champion their differences but teach them to do the same. Thanks for the insight about that.

We see each other at funerals once every few years, but I wouldn't recognize half of them in the street if I passed them by. These aren't first or even second cousins, but third and fourth, etc. If you live in a big city and your parents didn't raise you together, it's common.

I’m a twin and I love what you said about us becoming our own people! We started dressing differently in elementary school and our separate hobbies surfaced in middle school. Today we are almost opposite as I’m in marketing and she’s in criminal justice!

I'm a twin. We are multiracial but mostly black. We grew up singing in church and and constantly got compared to you two lol. We have the curly hair and everything (well I have dreads now...5 years in). Both married (10 and 9 years). We watched Sister Sister together feeling like we had older sisters who understood us each individually! Then we saw you on an interview on TCT praising God and our jaws dropped... Love you ladies.

I am a parent of twins. It is s is very interesting and enjoyable! I always tell people that they are sisters that God allowed to come out together! They sometimes have different views and sometimes the same views. One likes animals and one likes art, but they are both talented in art. They are definitely a double blessing!!!

When your mother or maternal grandmother is a fraternal twin (like mine), you have a 1 in 7 chance of having twins. Between me and my female cousins, we've had 7 pregnancies and I'm the one who got the twins 😂

@@Jodha1 because fraternal twins are a result of hyper-ovulation, so, only the mother's genetics matter for the pregnancy. However, the father can pass the hyper-ovulating gene onto his daughter, if it's in his family. Fraternal twins run in my family (and I have fraternal twins) and they also run in my husband's side of the family. So, both of can pass the gene onto our daughter.
