The ride needed some attention and it looks great with the attention that it got. The new music is not good, but it's still basically the same ride experience, so you know you can ride it and have fun, and keep your good memories of the past.
@cavcoproductions29 күн бұрын
I've been on it twice now and tried to give it a second chance, but all I can say is that this ride is boring when compared to splash Mountain. I was admittedly never a huge fan of splash mountain to begin with so when they announced it was going to be re-themed I didn't really care. Now comparing the two, splash was better in every way. This ride is still fun but lacks a story and just feels like a quick replacement that was politically motivated. The animatronics are good but it feels more like an exhibition of animatronics than an actual ride. They could've done so much better. I'm still glad that this ride is still here and that it wasn't taken out, so theres that.

@jacksonseyl5255Ай бұрын
Part of me kinda wished that instead of redoing Splash Mountain, they made an original attraction based on the movie. Like, imagine if a bunch of Louie's critter friends from the bayou came to New Orleans to ask Tiana if they could perform for humans. So she rents out a theater and many different critter bands perform for humans Country Bear style.

they could've put that in the fantasyland theater but instead they'll just keep it abandoned

The river flows a lot faster in California. I think this version works better than the one in Orlando. This one is faster paced with much less time between animatronics.

Why do the screens have to be 3D when it's a 2D hand drawn animated film?
@maxtheblackbear8072Ай бұрын
Probably to pretend to make the characters real.
@jrob5465Ай бұрын
The logic is probably to match the animatronics look. Switching from the animatronics to match 3D models probably was meant to seem more seemless. HOWEVER, I agree that it doesn't work. Tiana is the last Hand Drawn Disney Princess and she should be hand drawn.

Bob Igre has multi billions of dollars he made from the nickel and diming of the guests that they could have kept Splash Mountain and build Tiana’s Bayou Adventures from scratch as another attraction. To be honest, New Orleans has no mountains and the entire city is below sea level so being on a mountain does not feel like New Orleans. I want a Zip A Dee Doo Dah day.

It's the little details like this that don't add up, and show they were never actually serious about delivering on the lofty virtue signaling they announced the retheme with; they just wanted a convenient excuse to announce it and gaslight the public into getting behind it. I'm honestly kind of surprised how many people really seem to glaze over the whole height requirement/thrill ride thing, because it's _such_ a dead giveaway of how poorly thought out the whole retheme really was.

I solved the answer for the location! Each location is far away and transitions and teleportation! You start in the Salt Mines far away from the Bayou, you see Tiana tell you your on your way (to the Bayou) using her Salt Mine river taking you across the state to the Bayou as you (transition) into the Bayou after your shrunk Mama Odie has a shortcut and transports you back to the Salt Mine top to the bottom where you drop to go on the other direction to go New Orleans far away from the Salt Mines So it does fit critter country Description The salt mine is now a boutique farm with a working and teaching kitchen, where Tiana and her colleagues create new products, including a line of hot sauces.

I was even going to say after watching this video, man I like disney world much better than Disneyland even though I have never been to California but yes I would definitely agree this version is much better, it moves faster which fits with the music jam, but also much better lighting to. And since the Disneyland version of Splash Mountain was always much smaller, I have seen KZbin videos of the Disneyland version of Splash Mountain but never rode it, but never thought it was as good as Walt Disney Worlds version of Splash Mountain just because WDW version had a country theme to it but was also much bigger, and DL version was much smaller and had a Jazz theme to it.and Now though things are taking a turn around it seems like DL version of TBA seems much better than WDW. They have got some great lighting in the DL version although this could be because of the low light video and I haven’t seen the other POV’s yet but like I said moves much faster which keeps up with the music tone of TBA at DL to. I think they are both great rides though although DL just has a slight edge I think. I still think WDW as a whole though is much better and would always be better if their version of Splash Mountain was still there.
