Pros

Cons
Video can only be recorded to your phone via WiFi. There is no capability to record to a memory card. The drone's SD card slot is empty without a DVR.
The apps advanced flight modes did not seem to work very well.

Even though I'm not that keen on the camera ... or the fact there's no microSD card slot on the drone, I've got to say that £65.00GBP for the drone, 3 batteries and a bag is good value. Great flight time too. Another good review Q101 :)

No, sorry. A Hero 10 weighs 158 grams. This drone can lift a maximum extra of about 20 grams.

Hey QC...I think you are a very good reviewer. But...there is one thing you do that bugs me. In the interest of constructiveness...when you first launch a drone...the first thing you do is see if it holds position. And that is great. Here is the problem...While the drone maybe holding position very well...you immediately start walking in a circle to get in front of the camera. When you start walking around with the camera focused on the drone, it appears that the drone is NOT holding position. So maybe let it hover for 10 seconds or so, before you walk in a circle to get in front of the camera. Just a thought. Keep up the good work.

This is a $64 dollar drone. I'm amazed it even flies. I say for most of these newbies, save your money for a Spark. I've built and flown many and started flying quads about the time Quadcopter 101 started.

Hi there! My controller all of the sudden stopped synchronizing with the drone. The throttle up and down doesn't work. Controller's light gets steady on but drone keeps flashing. Batteries full. Calibration doesn't help either. Is there any hard reset or any other idea?

How about the controller's batteries? Have you tried fresh batteries in the controller?

@@Quadcopter101 Yes I have! The weird thing is that it syncs from the app. This way I can still fly it with wifi from the phone. But I have tried everything for the controller. No help.

@@thegreekbudgie if it syncs with the app, then it's definitely an issue with the controller. Not sure what else to try other than brand new batteries in the controller.

You need to re-sync the controller with the drone. Switch off both controller and drone. Turn both on at the same time, immediately push the left throttle stick all the way up for about 3 secs, then bring the throttle down for abt 3 secs as well and you should hear a beep or twp- that means they're sync'd. Have fun.

@@skanman2 I finally disassembled the drone. I loosened any connection possible and after reassembling everything worked! I think i have a loose contact or connection somewhere cause after a hard landing it happened again. But with a gentle knock it went back to normal! Thanks for your time!

Your next phone will have to be up to you to decide. But for whatever phone might interest you, simply check its WiFi specifications before purchasing to ensure it has 802.11ac WiFi capability.

This has optical flow positioning. This will automatically hover in place, while both of the XS809 require manual flying skill to hover.

Nice Review QC101 Love this Range of CheapToy Quads, I Liked the WiFi 720 version , Now this new one in the staple of Visuo., XS816 Upgrade Cam/Upgraded Batteries/Upgraded App/Upgraded Alt Hold. @@MrJuandiego1988 The XS816 is only 720p HD video. Some apps interpolate (enlarge) the video to 4K resolution. But interpolation doesn't improve the quality of the video, and actually makes it look worse. The end result of interpolated video is that you get low resolution looking video, but with a huge file size.

This drone is a toy. In the review you must mention: when it goes away 30-40m the control stop working sometimes and if there is a little wind it will blow it away and you can lost it or destroy it. RTH goes completely to another direction, it is not working at all. You can fly this drone only if there is NO wind, a little wind will be problem. This is crapy drone, better to save another 50 bucks more and buy a better one.
