This is a strange one for me, cause for 975, at least there is some justification, since 975 passes by a lot of cemeteries along Lim Chu Kang Road. For 31, I have never known this route to pass through any known burial grounds, nor is the number 31 particularly "spooky" (besides being a reverse of the number 13, but that is more tied to European cultures). Myself, I guess I can consider myself lucky, cause I have rode 31 a lot of times in the past, both for leisure and for school, and none of them occurred at night. When it comes to other haunted routes, my apologies, but I know nothing on this topic. However, if you still believe the urban legend of the NSL being haunted between Novena and Bishan (both used to be burial grounds), you can try riding 54 or 57 at night and test your luck (both 54 and 57 call at Novena and Bishan MRT stations).

I might say that svc 29 might also be one of the haunted bus routes as the route serves Old Tampines Rd and Old Changi Hospital

I remember one story about service 172. For the last bus of svc 172, bus drivers will stop and open the door at one of the bus stop along the route even though there are no pax boarding or alighting to make the spirits alight.... thats what they claim....

@f5ind the story exist even before this came about... it goes on for like prev 15 years ago... last time we dont have these kind of machine to track the journey of the bus

@@TheSingaporeBoy When you are the last bus, everyone will have their eyes on you. Arrive too early and you will raise suspicion within your terminus. Other runs are not bothered last time because it is next to impossible to keep track of bus timings of the other runs as there are simply too many busses to track even on one service. First/Last bus is easier track as you just need to remember two values(One for departure timing of first bus and one for arrival timing of last bus) for each route.
