Tibetan Chicken Thukpa with Handmade Noodles Recipe - Detailed step-by-step guide

Thukpa is a noodle soup typical of Tibetan cuisine. Because of the spices used, it really warms you up from inside and is the perfect winter meal.
Serves 4:
Ingredients:
For the Soup:
Chicken - 500g
Onions - 2/ 125g
Tomatoes - 2/ 125g
Coriander Powder - 4 tbsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
Garlic Paste - 2 tsp
Ginger Paste - 2 tsp
Salt - 1 tbsp + 1 tsp
Water - 1L + 1L
For Noodles Dough:
All Purpose Flour/ Maida - 500g
Salt - 2 tsp
Eggs - 2
Water - 1/2 Cup
For Cooking Noodles:
Water - 4 Litres
Salt - 1 tbsp
Oil - 2 tbsp
For Topping:
Onions - To taste
Tomatoes - To taste
Ginger Paste - To taste
Coriander Leaves - To taste

Hi Anuradha, that sounds interesting. Have you tried it with coconut cream? For us, this is one of those traditional recipes that takes us back to childhood memories so I'm not very keen on making any changes to it 😊
