Here I am a young boy growing up with the music my sister's liked and I seem to recall the Album Dream boat Annie, and I started listening to it and fell in love with the music of the Band Heart, I've never stopped seeing them in concert or buying their music. To see them in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame is a Dream that finally came true for them, WELL DONE ANN & NANCY WILSON!!!!!!!

Roger Fisher is one with that guitar and he really deserves some credit when it comes to playing some great music. Like Ann, it's definitely obvious he loves what he does. I love watching him and Nancy and their movements while playing. This performance was very, very special and just perfect!

Ann and Roger were the nucleus of original, the real Heart. Nancy was just decorative element.
@ijustwanttocommentfugoogle38396 жыл бұрын
@@marguskiis7711 JUST read an interview from 6 years ago (2012) someone did with Roger (right before coming here). Although Nancy joined after Ann and Roger, he certainly didn't agree with you that she was a decoration. He and Nancy had a thing (his brother Mike was with Ann around the same time, and the subject of 'Magic Man'), then later Roger cheated on Nancy. Ann found out and called for a vote and Roger was out. He credits that vote with saving his life, and getting him back to where he wanted to be musically too (although he cherishes his time in the group; he even said he and Ann e-mail each other sometimes).
@truthseeker46905 жыл бұрын
margus kiis Nancy wrote a lot of the songs with Ann even in the early years. To prove to the guys that she was worthy of joining the band she had to learn and perform live a song called The Clap, a masterpiece written by Steve Howe. I'd say that makes her more than just decoration.
@DCB7283 жыл бұрын
@Margus Don't forget Steve Fossen. He and Roger started the whole thing back in the mid '60's.

Nancy has always been more than a decoration. Her and the guitar plus the writing and singing and Heart’s very first number one song was from Nancy singing lead. Go figure. Way more than a decoration.

The Wilson sisters deserve every accolade that comes their way. Anyone not completely pleased with their speeches at the RRHOF needs to remember they're musicians, not politicians or motivational speakers. They've given us 40 years (!) of great rock music, done it with class, and crushed some very entrenched social norms along the way. They are truly inspiring -- and still damn great to listen to.

I love Heart and love pretty much all music but during Nancy's Public service announcement, I FF to the music. This just sparked a debate between my wife and I. I don't believe their was some conspiracy with men to keep women rockers down. I think rock music, especially hard rock just didn't interest young women as much as other Genre's of music just like their aren't many women plumbers out there. My wife believes their was a barrier by men and by society in general to keep women from pursuing a career in a hard rock band.

As impressive as all following lineups were, this original line up was the band at its best. Best songs. Best riffs. Timeless music. Heart without Roger Fisher is like The Eagles without Don Felder. Fisher really knew what to play where to take each song to the next level. He was an integral part of making those early albums and songs what they were. That sound and musical personality that the band had is lost to time with no return, but the recordings stand and the new lineups have done the old songs justice. Will anyone pick up the torch? I hope so.
