Not all Karens are the worst. since that is my first name. do you know how many women named Karen are in the world.and I drive a Cadillac but live in Colorado I use to be a Jersey girl. and will always be. but I show the utmost of respect to people and when I give my name to something they look at me like they ate bad food. Vic, I feel your pain. A couple of years ago a neighbour (British) tried to STOP me doing some urgent DIY drain clearance on a Sunday. We'd had a MAJOR storm (they're called Gota Frias here in Spain) and the storm drain on my property had become clogged with debris. He tried to cite the bible and his beliefs. I told him thusly: 1. I'm an atheist, your beliefs are irrelevant with regard to my general behaviour. 2. This needs fixing now. DO YOU WANT YOUR property flooded (the drain was shared with is property) if another storm hits? 3. Go away and bother someone else. He then said; 'building work is illegal on a Sunday in this part of Spain' To which I replied; 'I'm not building, I'm shovelling crap! Perhaps you should go tell the local Council employees that are clearing the main storm drain at the bottom of our hill to stop working. They're on double time, I'm sure they'd be happy to listen to your BS ! Go away and stop bothering me, I have work to do. Better still, there's a spare shovel in my storage area, You could help clear this shit!'

I hear ya Vic ,as a house painter and construction worker for over forty years I’ve seen much of what you’ve had to deal with and it’s freakin endless. One reason why I try and get to know the person I’m going to work for in advance for a bit of a heads up ( normal or nuts ) kind of individual. We had one Karen on a job years ago that was demanding the color be changed on the house we were painting, mind you it wasn’t her house , she lived next door . This was a town house row .
