One way they avoid taxes is that they form Shell companies to purchase the land which their Distribution centers are built. Then use them "lease" the land to them so they can avoid paying huge property taxes

I work for a company that have a bonus of $400. The industry I work in... most companies in this industry give their workers between $6k and$12k bonuses. With millions of dollars in profit every year for this company, it is a slap in the face to see a measly $400 deposit in my bank. The CEOs and big wigs get 1.2-2 million dollar bonuses. The rich love their money and they don't like to share.

I commented that us Canadians (Ontarians) don't have a place for tips online and knowing all this now, I wouldn't leave one to Amazon corporate, if that's what is happening. Purolator or Canada Post delivers our Amazon parcels, here anyway and they just drop your parcel (and quickly knock if not left in the community mailboxes 📮) and they run off to the next person. It would be hard to catch them to give a tip even if you were at home and likely wouldn't see a tip envelope marked 'Amazon driver' as they run back to their truck and don't slow down at all! Feel really bad for them especially in the brutally cold snowy, icey winter, storms or intense heat.

Another solid gripe from our friend, Vic! But Judge Vic, as good as your plan sounds, what can we the people do, along with the Amazon drivers, to make your plan happen? It's one thing to bring this to our attention, but another, to see that justice "pays" off. Walmart is guilty of this, too. I buy groceries once in a while to have them delivered to my home. I always add a very generous tip to my bill, for the driver. One time a driver called me from her cell phone, because she forgot our gate code to get into our gated community. I added a $40.00 tip, for her, to my grocery bill. A few weeks later, I called her and she said she never got my tip. I wonder how many other drivers don't get their tips!! And these are just 2 large companies pulling this same scam!

In Canada, I've not seen anywhere on the online order form where we CAN add tips nor have I heard of it. We don't have special 'Amazon drivers/Amazon vehicles' to deliver parcels as they arrive to us via Canada Post or Purolator. It's rotten and illegal (isn't it?) for the Amazon corporation to rob the drivers of their tips that BELONG to the delivery drivers and meant for them solely. Gee, doesn't Amazon make enough money? Savages🤬! I'd leave their cash tip money in a sealed envelope labelled 'AMAZON DELIVERY DRIVER ONLY' outside wherever the deliveries are normally left. Papa John's pizza has been doing shit like this for years. In some cities they refused to pay any overtime, despite state laws requiring them to do so. And when they got busted for it, they pulled out of various cities, stripped franchisees of their ownership and laid off everyone. They did it in NY (Rochester and the Bronx) and in California (Sacramento)
