No one is banning the cartoon. The character, who was in one scene, was removed from a movie. Some journalist wrote an opinion piece article and in typical fashion, conservatives grabbed on to it and blew it way out of proportion blaming liberals. Liberals had nothing to do with it. This whole Space Jam 2 thing is even stupider when you factor in the scene that was removed actually addressed these "sexually aggressive" tendencies and tried to send a "don't creep on people" message. Supposedly, the actress involved was going to reprimand Pepe for doing what he does, so removing that scene actually removes a potential good message as well. Yep!!! I watched Pepe Le Pew as a kid in the 70's and LOVED the cartoon! You are right. Even as kids we KNEW what it was all about. Just like the Road runner and Wile E. Coyote: A cartoon coyote who would try to kill the roadrunner using almost any means at his disposal. There were bombs, anvils and long falls from cliffsides of which Wile E should have DIED a million times over. He never could kill that Roadrunner but blew himself up many times. There I sat, a 3 year old knowing that it wasn't real and to not try any of those things. Pepe Le Pew never offended me EVER! He only wanted love! We laughed our faces off at these cartoons. Today is no different. This generation is bubble wrapped and hyper-sensitive to EVERYTHING. Love ya Vic!!

Well said! This is really starting to become ridiculous. Starting with Christmas music and the references behind the lyrics and other songs from the "good ole days." Well, what about the music now? The music is much more explicit than music from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Why aren't they attacking some of the artists of today?
