Stayed there in the early mid 1980’s on a two centre Yugotours holiday this video makes me want to revisit. We had a fabulous time great memories of the train which was like a kids ride back then & all electric because they didn’t allow combustion engines back then. Great video I wish we had GoPro’s back then!

I hate when I'm not prepared for the weather - and it's happened too many times before when we try to be spontaneous. This park is so beautiful! I love the waterfalls and the walkways and bridges over them. It's so nice that all of the transportation within the park is included - otherwise it would take a long time to get around! Love your TKT tips. The last few shots of the waterfalls were just amazing!!
@TideKnotTravellers2 жыл бұрын
Yep, we definitely paid for the spontaneity😄 Those last views were so awesome, we had to add them into the video. The walk back was just beautiful!

Loved the video and the details in it. Thank you very much. My wife and i are visiting that place from India on April 21st, 2023, and your tips were really helpful. Considering that we are both around 60, I hope it won't be a challenge to walk around. We are quite fit and walk regularly, but I was wondering if there are many steps to climb. Look forward to your answer.
@TideKnotTravellers Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much, you should be fine as there are different options that you can choose on the day based on how much you want to walk. It’s not too strenuous, there’s a few steps here and there but it’s nothing our parents (who are in their 60s) couldn’t do.

Wow, this is a beautiful park! Nicely setup as well and looks well taken care of. So nice that the transport within the park is included in the ticket price...even a boat! So cool! The nature scenes are picture perfect. The colour of the water is just stunning 💚💙 How nice is the lunch stop 🥰 I really like that you could do a loop around. Ooh, can’t wait for Dubrovnik old town 🤗 😂😂😂 the amount of times I can’t use footage because the camera was zoomed right in, luckily Craig realised haha

We took the K route so it’s interesting to see the H route. I had no idea about the algae making the water blue. Great fun fact guys!
@TideKnotTravellers2 жыл бұрын
Is the K route the 6-8 hour one? We thought about doing that but with filming slowing us down and a five hour drive back to do we played it safe. 😅 Did the longer route take more in? It’s such a beautiful fresh place to be. Did you guys have a preference between Krka & Plitvice?
@LucasWorldTravel2 жыл бұрын
@@TideKnotTravellers Yes, the K route takes about 6 hours and I believe we did get to see a few more falls, but also there was more water when we were there. So we probably saw the same things just with more water. We definitely liked Plitvice more!

If you only had time to do Krka National Park or Plitvice National Park, which one would you choose?
@TideKnotTravellers Жыл бұрын
great question, it would depend on a few things. If you have your own transport then probably Krka because it is spread out into different sections but so many different things to see and is generally quieter than Plitvice so time of year would influence the choice too. However if you are relying on a bus then probably Plitvice is good because you arrive at the park and stay there all day without needing transport. Both places are beautiful so whichever you choose you'll have a lovely time!
@danbet77102 жыл бұрын
Pity you didn't stop in one of the other cities closer to the Plitvice Lakes ie Split , Sibenik or Zadar. It's a lot easier to split your trip and fly out of Split
