Hello there I'm Tie Dye Sonny from Brantley Alabama and been doing it for about 6 months now and I was wondering what size rubber bands you use

I just started tie-dying again after more than 20 years ....you have really great tutorials..some of the best on youtube ..I like your techniques that get very crisp images because you do not try to over complicate it by trying to add detail that is not necessary. What are those bottles with the hose/tube? Are you using dharma trading procion dye or what brand is your favorite?

I bought one to wear at dem Rumpke boys shows n didnt realize it dont take as much as I thought to make, granted you made it look easy, n prob easier than it really will be. I manage a apt community n get alot of clothes n sheets left behind in laundry to practice on. I wanna make a tapestry for my camp this festi season!! My Terrapin Farm fam would go crazy for these. Great skills on display hope I can get it half as vivid w/ clean lines as yours. I'm in mood to listen to sum Trashgrass, n Wolfie picking dat gutterpuss!!! 🤘🎶✌ Thanks so much for vid n tips..

Nice video . please will like to know the type of dye used, (is it a VAT dye) where I can get it and how to prepare it. thank you!

A VAT Dye is also called a tub dye. Almost all of the chemicals used are the same. Are u trying to dye something a solid color or just a one color tie dye. Let me know and I’ll polish a video for you. 😊

thank you for your reply. I want to make a tie and dye with various colors. just want to know the type of dye to purchase and how to prepare it in the spray bottle🙏.

Oh okay then you don’t want to do a vat dye. The dyes you will want are procion mx. You will also need soda ash.

This is perfect and amazing! I just started tie dyeing and I’m so glad I just found your videos. I was wondering, did you use thickener in your black/brown dyes here? And also, right now I am feeling unhealthily addicted to tie dyeing... will this go away, lol? Does it ever get old? Or do you still love it after doing it for a while ?

A Marie thank you for the feedback! 😘. The only pattern that I use thickener on is the 9 ball that I do but it’s just for the #9 itself. The only thickener I use is the Superclear that Dharma Trading in Cali offers. I hate the alginate thickeners. They tend to dull the color they don’t rinse well and they are overall a pain to work with. Ha that fire to dye never goes away! I’ve been doing tie dye full time for many years and it never gets old or boring! If there is anything specific you would like to see in a video let me know and I’ll try to make it happen for ya! I’m here to teach at this point! 😊. So many things u can do with dye!!!!
