I think this is absolutely awesome. The colors are perfect. I would wear this quite often.

I love how you critique your own work and let us know any lessons learned or how you’d change it next time. Most channels don’t do that and it’s a crucial part of the process. I adore how this one turned out! I don’t think inconsistencies like the one you point out are as noticeable when the clothing is being worn.

Thank you - I'm glad you enjoy the critique! I agree that it won't be as noticeable when it is worn. 🙂

As others have said, we are our own worst critics! I understand the look you were going for, and your explanation on how to achieve it is clear, but the shirt turned out absolutely LOVELY just the same! No project ventured with SOME PURPLE is ever a mistake. 😉 💜

Thank you so much! I agree - I'm a purple fan too! 🙂

@@FunEndeavors The purple in my life is a bit of a “sickness.” My students actually call me Mrs. Purple-counting how many days I can go without wearing the same thing twice, but being some variation of purple. Heh Even my CAR is purple-second factory purple car-different manufacturers, too! (Yeah, I know) I guess if you have to have an “illness,” this is THE one to have-but Dear Hubby might just disagree. 🙄 Ok, I’m shutting up now. Enough of this silliness. 🤭🤐

@@SIGNTEACH That is too funny! It sounds like you definitely have a purple obsession, but I agree that it's a good one to have!

Really lovely. Reds and Purples go so well together. I think the Magenta being more at the top just adds to the dimensional vision.

I love all the different ways that you fold and tie your shirts. I never knew that tie-dye could be so beautifully complex. The way this one zig-zags is so unique! Thank you for sharing how you turn a textile craft into wearable ART 😍🌟👍

There’s such a high bar on your work because they’re all so good, but if you want to be your best, you must be critical and learn from each project. I agree with your assessment for the most part. I think leaving the magenta off would be my first choice rather than putting it on both sides.
@FunEndeavors2 жыл бұрын
You're right - to keep moving forward you have to learn why it didn't turn out like planned. That's why I try to share shirts like this along with my successful ones. Hopefully it will save someone else from making the same mistake.

I pretty much agree with your own assessment, but that is what experimenting (which is what I think is your forte') is all about. The fact that you show us wonderful ideas and color combinations on various items is great, add in that you also show us times when you feel it wasn't all that great so everyone can learn is awesome.
@FunEndeavors2 жыл бұрын
Thanks - I'm glad you appreciate seeing my less than desirous outcomes. I believe in showing the good, bad and sometimes even ugly shirts. There truly is something to be learned from each one. Experimenting is what makes tie dye fun!

Do u like that magenta color? Does it compare closely to any of the others like fushia or hot hibiscus or even raspberry? And I like this one.
@FunEndeavors2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes, I really like the magenta. It seems a bit more vibrant to me than fuchsia.

What do you do to keep that initial end of the kite string from getting lost? Mine usually ends up getting sucked into the subsequent wraps unless I tie it off after the first wrap or two.
@FunEndeavors2 жыл бұрын
I try to leave a fairly long tail of kite string at the end before my first wrap. I pull the kite string fairly tight as I wrap the shirt and it usually stays in place. Sometimes though it hides under one of the first couple of kite string layers and I have to look for it.
