"Mistakes" always prove interesting. Whether you fall in love with them or learn! I actually love they grey, without the width on the color I think the black might have proved too much. It would be great to see when you widen the color and do the black!

I didn't know about the color bonding to the fabric and therefore rejecting excess black, live and learn. I think the gray really gives it a lot of depth. The only thing I'm going to change on my own shirt is to use some brighter, lighter colors. But I love this one!

can you share what glaubers ratio is to powder, or dye ratio??? i’ve tried adding like triple the amount, and it didn’t seem to make a difference 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️😂😂🙏🏼🙏🏼💜💜 (I’m pretty it’s glaubers, but could be sodium alginate???). THANK YOU though. and the shirt came out BEAUTIFUL

May I suggest kite string instead of rubber bands. I switched sometime ago and never looked back.👍 Love how the shirt turned out just the way it is.

I choose between rubber bands or sinew based on what I'm trying to accomplish with the tie.

I have no idea - it was sold about 6 months ago. But, from my experience with the shirts I keep, they don't fade much at all - even after hundreds of wash cycles.

When you say “let them sit”, are you covering the shirt in plastic or anything? Very cool shirt!

It's extremely humid where I live, so I don't cover or bag any of the shirts. If you live in a low-humidity environment, you'll likely need to cover the fabric to keep it from drying out over the batch period.
